**2013 NFL Combine**
Use this for the weigh-ins, news and observations. I'll chime in as I can, but if everyone can try and gather news and info as it comes in, that would be awesome. My least favorite couch scout site is at least good for being on the ball with news and info out of Indy, and has the weigh-ins for OL and TE posted.

Sims slimmed down to 262 as I wished for all those months ago, so we're going to see how he moves at a more athletic playing weight. The always underrated because he lacks top notch athleticism, Joseph Fauria has some big boy mitts and nearly 11" big.
Fluker shows up slimmed down and stretched out at 6'5" 339 with 36-3/4" arms. As I've said before, I would have no poblem drafting him at 20 provided it was to be a OG where he would absolutely dominate. Pugh's weigh-in pretty much ends any argument that he could hang on the outside in the NFL at 6'4" with 32" arms. Love Holme's play as well as weigh-in, but I'm hoping he doesn't elevate his status much more because he is a guy I would love for us to target later on. There's a ton of small school guys this year that have a chance to move up from UDFA to late rounders this year based upon what they do here alone, so keep an eye on them and root hard for Brian Winters and JC Tretter.

Thanks for starting this.
Maybe it would help keep the forum better organized if one of the mods could sticky this thread. That way we don't get a zillion threads started. Mods, what do you think?

I'm interested in how cooper stacks up pshyically to Warmack and if lane Johnson blows up the charts like expected
Also be interesting to see any unexpected mid rounder olinemen turning heads with their numbers
Also I'm hoping some other positions achieve "workout warrior" status to push Warmack and Cooper down the boards

Cooper is 6'3 as thought, he was measured with 6'2 1/8
That's not what Trestman/Kromer is looking for considering their past

Cooper was measured at 6'2" and 311lbs and Warmack at 6'2" 317 so from that standpoint there's little difference in them. That ideal size for a inside guy although they could be taller too. Those are the top two interior lineman and both day one starters this fall.
Fluker showed up much lighter at 6'5" and 339lbs and maybe looked at as an OG in the pros. He may be the one who stands to gain the most from Indy. To me one of those three will be at the top of the Bears board on draft day if the rest of their work in Indy goes well.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

D.C. Jefferson, Khaled Holmes injured on the Combine bench press

On the first day of bench press work at the Scouting Combine, two players had to stop with injuries.
Rutgers tight end D.C. Jefferson’s injury sounds like it could be serious. He was taken to an Indianapolis hospital, and his agent toldUSA Today that he might have suffered a torn pectoral muscle. That’s a serious injury that could prevent him from doing any pre-draft workouts, and as Jefferson was viewed as a late-round pick already, it could move him right out of the draft.
USC center Khaled Holmes suffered a strained pectoral muscle on the bench press, but it sounds like his injury is not as serious as Jefferson’s. Jason La Canfora of CBS reported that Holmes isn’t sure if he’ll be able to do the on-field work for offensive linemen on Saturday.
Kent State guard Brian Winters also stopped his bench press early because he was in pain, but he later said it was just a muscle cramp and he’d be fine.

I don't think so at all. He's long been looked at as a guy so talented he has the ability to play all along the interior and his most maximized impact may just lie there at Center where he can anchor a team's line. Athletically, he is everything you want there and it is a position that plays to his intelligence and strengths as a moving OL, pass blocker and he's on the short side of the OG spectrum. His upside is so great along the entire interior, you would be doing him and yourself a disservice by not at least testing his flexibility. He struggled there with minimal reps and one actual game as a Tarheel, but he's going to be with pro teachers in a league that sees these OL more as "where does he and his skills fit" a lot more than the NCAA.
