Getting diffrent news from different soruces, it's either a little pot or pot and a controlled substance. It's also about how Emery/HH feels about it, and not what you or I think about it. For you or I it might not be a big deal or a huge deal....and that means jack squat.

If we sign TE Martellus Bennett and OG Brandon Moore

What would people think of this line,

    LT: Webb, Armstead [2nd Round]

When Armstead is ready to play he starts at LT and Webb, who the coaches like, goes to RT.

    LG: Brandon Moore [FA], Brown

Moore is a solid veteran stop gap who is not on a long term deal and when Brown is ready he steps in and plays LG and Moore is a key backup or his contract expires.

    C: Jonathan Cooper [1st round], E. Williams

    RG; Louis

    RT: Scott, Carimi

These guys get to play until Armstead is ready to step into the line up.

On tape, Armstead looks a lot more like a Tony Ugoh than the Duane Brown he's being made out to be. I go for a football player and let someone else grab him. He may well turn out to be a starting LT, but I'm not spending a second rounder on this maybe.

Please don't be fooled by Bennett, he's more interested in his career afterwards then football; it was his biggest problem in Dallas, and imo, last year was just him trying to prove Dallas was wrong to move away from him.

The guy is the J'Marcus Webb of TE's...he's just a little farther along in achieving his limited ability then Webb is.

I don't think Webb was on the strongest ground before this arrest. My gut feeling is that there's a good chance he's gone. That's not me saying he should be gone. Just my thinking that he's not in the strongest position to begin with. This probably means the Bears will have to shell out some cash for a free agent. I was so hoping we wouldn't have to do that, considering the many holes we have to fill. If the Bears do feel they have to go FA for a LT now, it also means less money to shore up the team's roster elsewhere.

Damned shame. Makes me sick. Every thing like this diminishes the ceiling for our season a bit more. Not a killer thing at all. But the cumulative effect is there. It sure doesn't help our situation when we already had a horrible oline problem to begin with.

I think you are under selling Armstead the guy has the tools you are looking for and it would not shock me if he ended up in the 1st round.

The tools are there, and I'd much rather work with a guy who has tools than an average-to-iffy athlete, but for every one of these "freaks" who goes on to dominate at the position, there's dozens who can't ball worth a damn.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Buy why do you think he will flop?

He moves well on the field, clip 4 is his stoning Margus Hunt at the Senior Bowl, he has long arms and solid power. The real negative on him is level of competition and he answered some of those at the Senior Bowl.

He was ranked as a 2nd round pick by most people going into the combine before his incredible performance. He really gather steam at the East/West game and the Senior Bowl on the field.

I do not see these plays where is getting beaten, especially early and often.

And most people have said he had an incredible East/West game and a very strong Senior Bowl.
