With the 20th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Chicago Bears select Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame.

The Bears are excited to add Tyler Eifert to an offense going through a transformation. The Bears were epicly bad at TE least season and it was a key position of concern and by adding the dynamic Eifert the Bears are able to go from a weakness to a strength at TE. Eifert confirmed his elite athletic ability with a 4.68 [40], 22 reps and a 35" vertical leap, added to a 6'6" 250lbs frame and strong hands the Bears may finally have a threat in the middle of the field to take pressure off of Brandon Marshall.

22.) St. Louis Rams (from Washington) (2.174) - DaMontre Moore [DE/OLB; Texas A&M]

51.) New York Giants (1.037) (12-1) - Zach Ertz [TE; Stanford]

With the 52nd pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Chicago Bears select Travis Frederick, C, Wisconsin

The Bears are excited to pick Travis Frederick and add him to an OL that is being repaired throughout the offseason. Frederick brings size, power and versatility to the middle of the Bears OL. Frederick will start at C as a rookie for the Bears and will provide us with a significant upgrade over Roberto Garza. If Lance Louis does not return from his ACL injury for week 1 then Frederick will play RG. The Bears are not concerned with a below average combine as this is an old school football player. The Bears do not need flash they need someone who can bring consistent performance to the middle of the OL.

One is a slow 3-4 MLB.

The other has multiple drug suspensions and DUIs.

Not only is neither worth the 20th pick, but we are going to build the offence this offseason.

Why would KC take Geno #1 when they just traded away two picks for Alex Smith?

This was before the trade happened.

Ty for adding lots of mocks..always fun and generate lots of conversation and debate

I don't like the idea of effiert even with all the FAs...but i do like the Frederick pick

IMO at 20 we take Warmack/Cooper or Fluker or trade down if fluker isn't worth it in the eyes of the staff

That was our original plan but we added 3 OLmen and NO TE in free agency.

The Bears need a TE that consistently threatens the middle of the field. The west cost offense and the Trestman scheme does not work if teams do not have to cover the entire field.

With Davis teams did not for the middle of the field and they did not keep a safety deep. That cannot happen with the Trestman offense.

Windy, thanks for your mocks. I love them. Regarding this one, I'd sure be a happy camper if we shipped Hester off for a 5th round pick.

    Trades

WR Devin Hester to the Cincinnati Bengals for 5th round pick
    Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

No way the Bears take Te'o in the first. He's probably THE most overrated player of this year's entire draft class. Pass.
