The St. Louis Rams have yet to make an offer to free-agent OT Jake Long (Dolphins).

Apparently 670 The Score is saying there will be multiple cuts today.

It will be interesting to see these cuts. This is the beginning of Trestman molding the team into his vision for the future.

It would be a brilliant move for the Bears. Helps us. Hurts the Vikes.

@seankjensen: Source confirms #Bears interest in #Vikings RT Phil Loadholt, as Tribune first noted. @PFF had him ranked 22nd best OT.
@seankjensen: Regardless of how all this shakes out, I think Gabe Carimi will be competing to start at guard.
A source tells the Chicago Tribune that the Bears are "hot" on free agent RT Phil Loadholt.
Under new coach Marc Trestman, the Bears have made protecting Jay Cutler a priority. Signing the mauling 6'8/343 Loadholt would be a strong step in that direction. Even if the Bears can't lure Loadholt in, they'll perhaps raise the pricetag for the Vikings to retain him. It's a win-win situation for Chicago. Related: Bears

I don't know about that. I think it would be more win-win if he agrees to the veteran minimum to play for the Bears and then kicks Peterson in the ACL on the way out, but whatever.
I listened to a little of the Mully & Hanley Show this morning. I normally only listen for a few minutes a day (the car ride to work), but I usually like the show, as it is far less sophomoric than the afternoon show, and it actually provides sports info, rather than two douches taking contrarian points of view just to piss people off so they call in. ANYWAY... I normally respect what M&H have to say, but someone must have pissed in their cereal this morning. They essentially declared that the Bears wouldn't be signing anybody, that they would try to fix the O-line by scheming alone, and then bitched about how that method didn't work in 2012. They were almost fan-like in their belief that "no current rumors" means "OMG! They aren't signing anybody!!" Hopefully the Bears schedule a few press conferences today, and they are to announce signing instead of addressing the issue of J'Marcus Webb getting stuck in the slide in a McDonald's Playland.

Personally I think they are not looking past the forest and can't see the trees.

I can't see how they would fire an entire coaching staff but not sign any bona fide offensive line players to move this team forward. It would not make any sense, there is only two picks in the first 3 rounds and hopefully one of those two picks could be a starter from day one. This team needs 4 new starters on the line (possibly 5 if Louis is not ready to go).

@TomPelissero: #Bears' interest in Phil Loadholt is legitimate, I'm told. Offering better numbers than #Vikings, who don't want to go above $5M/year.
@seankjensen: Source confirms to me what I reported earlier, that the #Bears interest in Jake Long is real. Again, the key is money.
