moore would be a great signing...he's one of the best guards in football, and he's probably got another 2 years at that level...give kromer a player he can count on in the short term while he develops some younger players...
if the bears could somehow afford one of the top tackles and moore, they could turn the o-line around in a hurry...i don't expect that, but moore and a tight end would be a big improvement to the offense without breaking the bank...
then they could look to add a tackle in the draft in the first 2 rounds...

That's kind of the way I see it too Zen. He's another Ruben Brown kind of pickup. If we can make a couple of moves to upgrade it seems to me that a guy like Moore and a better receiving TE would be about the two best upgrades for FA starters we can come away with. I think the OTs will be out of our range at least to begin with. Maybe we can find an upgrade to Scott in phase two but I'd be surprised if we got a starter out of this bunch.
I want to see them re-sign Louis but we need to protect ourselves against his recovery stretching into the season and not end up like we did with Carimi being forced to play him before he back in playing shape. Moore is that hedge I posted about.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
