Probably because they want to supply appropriate content and we have a shortage of editors that can properly edit it and apply proper placement of the Canadian "ay".

He was fired seven times, including five times as part of an entire staff firing. I think this point is key to remember if anyone questions as to why he was let go so many times...5 of the 7 times he was fired was due to regime changes, which makes it pretty much out of his control. Think of Marinelli and Toub...are they still a good DC/STC even though the Bears let them go? Of course they are, but with a regime change, you are going to lose coaches, even good ones.
I'm trying//to let go//of maybe//but maybe's just so//very interesting//Oh, what a thing.

Bill Walsh was interested in hiring Trestman in 1986 to coach the 49ers quarterbacks. The Vikings blocked him as they had Trestman under contract. Instead, Walsh hired Holmgren.
Other coaches who either hired Trestman or were interested in hiring him in the first stage of his coaching career include Lee Corso, Butch Davis, Bud Grant, Jon Gruden, Jimmy Johnson, Sean Payton, Wade Phillips, Bobby Ross, Howard Schnellenberger, Marty Schottenheimer, George Seifert and Don Shula.
He was considered one of the premier offensive strategists in the game. There unmistakably was something very special about him. I can't wait to see what he does with the Bears. It may take more than this initial season to get everything in place, but he seems like the kind of guy who can:
1. Take us to the next level (SB win)
2. Build for sustained success here in Chicago
I hope the fans realize that the ride could be a bit bumpy this first season. We've gutted the coaching staff, including all three coordinators. New schemes, playbooks and there will be a number of different players on the team. It may take a season for Trestman to mold everything into the finished product that he envisions for Chicago.
I am also concerned about the old players performance this year. Often players don't gradually decline, but simply get to a season where they hit the wall and stink. This isn't always the case, but often it is. I'm hoping the older defensive players are solid at least one more season (and longer). It's not just Urlacher that concerns me here.
But overall, I'm excited about the Trestman era beginning.
Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

I find it interesting that he and Pete Carroll are basically from the same coaching tree. If Emery/Trestman can do for this team what Carroll has helped do in Sea, then we are in for something special as Bears fans.
670 has been saying that the D, still upset about Lovie, has not warmed upto, and is a little put off by Trestman's demenior. I'm wondering if it's not a good thing that they let some of the "key guys" go if that is the case. You have to think that many of the D are Lovie's guys and might never warm up to Trestman...although I've heard if they liked Lovie they'll love the new DC also.

Soul, yep he ; might have stayed in Miami if he would have just let Trestman take over the OC job.
