I think it is kind of like the Fonzes' "AAAAAAAAAeeeeeeehhhhhh", but shorter, just a bit nasal, and without the declension used by Mr. Winkler.
Just a straight, flat, "eh"
It should also be noted that it can be used in place of either a comma or as an interrogative....
"So eh.. watcha up to dere eh?

It's 'eh' in written form. Bob & Doug's pronounciation sound like Fonzie.
'Aye' is nautical, sounds like 'eye.'
