Long is healthy now and a healthy Long is as good as a LT as you could find.
Long - LG - C - Louis - Webb with Carimi/Brown as backups. That's a solid group going forward without thinking about the Draft
I agree fully here if we can work a good deal...if we can get his hit this year in the 3-5.5 range then this would work
And I completely agree with your starters, carimi and Webb would compete for RT..loser either swing tackle or possibly making a push for G (not in favor of that)
This would still not change the fact that we need a lg and c via draft...lg (coop, warmack, fluker, warford) most likely starting...c would compete and worst case scenario would have to be ready next year (I suspect would e starter by week 8 if not day one depending on who we got) Frederick Jones and Schwenke are all candidates

Correct. We have $7 million right now WITHOUT HAVING DONE ANYTHING YET to free up more. For example, if needed or desired, you could instantly cut some combo of Davis, Hester, Toe, and Spaeth and immediately free up about $7 million more. [note: the decline in overall team performance from any of these "losses" would be barely perceptible.]
That doesn't include converting RB's into SB's (several million $ more).
OR
Extensions/restructurings (could easily net $10 million+).
Point is, if there's a will (or need) then there's a way. It can and will be done if a deal is struck with Long. Personally, I'd love to see Emery pilfer a Miami pro-bowler for the second year in a row.

By the way are we even sure that Louis will be back for the start of the next season?
No, we aren't. That's why a (relatively) cheap pickup like Moore would be important.

Of course this would be great karma. Minny cheap shots our best G and we take their best T.

Its a dysfunctional organization and a shit team. That's totally outclassed in its division. Long has zero interest in staying there if there's FA market $$ for him elsewhere.
