Judge him on his career as a whole, not just last year.

Yeah BIH, unfortunately I don't see us winning any bidding wars.

To be fair his first few years was behind Olsen, and his first year as a starter was w/Martz who doesn't use TE's. So that isn't really a fair comparison.
This is a very high risk signing. You well could end up w/Dallas' Bennet and not NY's. There were not many players or coaches upset w/Marty B's departure from Dallas, he was a huge distraction.

The past is for cowards and losers.
Players mature and they develop and clearly Bennett matured just as Brandon Marshall did.

Bennett was behind a freaking perennial Pro Bowler in Dallas and got extremely limited opportunities to shine in that offense. If anything, you judge him on that one season he's had as a true starter without limited opportunities. Big thing here, he's had less drops over the past three years than Kellen Davis had last year.

Windy, that's a hard thing to judge, he was in a contract year, and many players(see Moose) have their best years in contract years and fall back into their standard playing. Notice how NY didn't seem to be in much of a hurry to resign him. And that is a smart team, they don't tend to let a lot of talent walk.
Sox he had tons of chances to earn playing time in Dallas, they wanted him to be there and he was a complete flake. He was cut, and not happy about it, and Dallas never looked back.

I see your "Giants are a good organization" and raise you a "Cowboys are a terrible organization."

I'm not sure any of us knows for sure which Bennett we got. But I think we can all agree based on what we had that we just upgraded big time. How big will have to wait until the season unfolds.
