Where'd you get the "O" from? :)
But Louis not being pursued is not its own thread though. I just hate to start talking about it here and then find out there is a thread. Just checked again, no thread on the front page.
Okay, wow, so I had actually posted in a different thead we might not go after Louis. I wonder if it's because he gets hurt often or he wants a decent payday and we are watching our budget. I'll say this, we go after Brandon Moore after adding Bushrod, they can put whoever the hell they want in at center. Rookie, Garza, UDFA, don't matter. I want a vet at the spot though.
Just heard Webb will be at RT. Wonder if it will be competition at RT with Carimi or they go with Carimi at RG. Carimi/ Webb as the swing would let them move on from Scott too.

Play him out of position, play him injured and then eventually trade him. I really hope they give him a real shot. The guy was playing well before getting hurt and having Tice guru him.

I would not look down at a Schwartz signing either. It's just we have been linked to Moore in the press.

Reality intervenes though. He's a former 7th rounder who was only just starting to show promise when he suffered a substantial knee injury. Until/unless he proves he can come back strong from that, the FA market for him right now is nil. I'd like him back on a 1 yr cheap deal but he's very much back burner right now to the Bears and should be. I doubt anyone is going to offer him much of anything. I don't see the team "pursuing him" until FA and the draft settle out. Sucks for him.
Exactly. Our entire offensive line was so bad, that a mediocre player looks good to us. The bar was set so low under Lovie/Tice/Angelo, that we got used to crap players being the norm - and a mediocre guy like Lance Louis looks like a stud to us.
Pathetic.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

That is not what he said. He said Carimi and Webb would compete for the RT job.

Competition would be a good thing for these two. And I think we end up with a solid swing tackle afterwards too. At Least I'm hoping the odd man out ends up a tackle and not a guard. Carimi doesn't seem to be anything more than an afterthought guard. I'm still hoping he can be a solid tackle once he's healthy.
Let's have guards playing the guard positions.

Carimi MAY very well be a guard, he certainly didn't move anything like and NFL tackle last season.
