    @ric & JJ

I have nothing against our Receivers. I just don't see enough options other than Marshall and hopefully MBennett as sure things. EBennett should be #4 and AJ #3 going forward ideally. Imagine if we add a #2 WR between Marshall and AJ... It's still a need and I've seen some Mocks and even Fans that want us to take Tavon Austin

German, it's cool, but Jeffery is the #2, and the speed guy would be the 3 and bennet would be the 4 at that point.

Jeffrey, when healthy is a stud, he was way above what a rookie WR should be last year, and he'll be better this year.

They really don't need a speed guy that much, is all i'm saying. As mentioned they have BM, AJ, & EB plus MB @ TE ...and not to mention Forte out of the backfield.

I'm not trying to argue anything, we are inevitably going to agree to disagree on this, which is fine..but if i did a check list though, it would go like this.

    1-3 reliable catching Wr's...check
Te who can catch & block...check
    Versatile Rb....check

That's 5 good to great weapons for Jay...more than enough in my mind. They really don't need to get past the DB's, just get one-on-one's with BM or AJ..

I agree Punished, a speed guy would be nice, but it's not necessary. And on top of the versitile RB, the backup rb is also versatile, and they have a home run hitting change of pace rb.

If they get a starting C and G in the draft Cutler will just have ot make quick smart decisions and the O should be fine.

I start to get the feeling that Emery wants to draft a LB with our our 1st pick of the draft but does not think one of them is worth the #20 overall pick. Trade down to #30 - #35 and take the MLB you think is the best that's left.

Minter, Brown, Te'o, Ogletree... I think Emery would be fine with all of them.
one of them at around 30-35 with the additional picks is what Emery wants and values better than 1 guy at #20

That is my feeling too. That Emery is thinking to himself that Warmack and Cooper may be gone by 20 and there's no one else he's dying to take there.

Please not Tavon Austin...that's a luxury pick we can't afford. We can get speedy WRs in the later rounds. Remember what round Knox went in? Fifth...

The speedster doesn't even need a lot of touches, he just needs to lengthen the field and get some attention away from Marshall and co.

but Knox wasn't that quality WR... he wasn't bad but he made many mistakes too. Austin should end up better than him... but I agree and I'm not a fan of picking Austin while we need a CB, LBs and interior Lineman badly

Are you saying Marshall may be a one year wonder or Bennett because Bennett never has been a wonder period and if you look at his career Marshall has been one of the top five WRs in the NFL forever.

If Bennett can stay healthy he's one of the most dependable and productive 3rd down slot receivers in the NFL. A lot of teams would love to have him along with his toughness. I don't see him so much as being injury prone as he has been unlucky and in one case the target of a very questionable hit. He's very solid #3.

Marshall is Marshall and always has been but the value he now adds by his willingness to work with and mentor the younger guys is paying dividends. He's a 100 catch a year guy year in and year out who can block and he'll probably stay at the level for at least another 3 or 4 years and maybe longer. He's a freak athlete.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
