I'm sorry but if you all can't get your heads out of the sand and see the big picture here instead of what writers are writing who can't possibly understand just how deep this digs then your knowledge or Bears lore and your understanding of Phil Emery and his motives aren't all that good. I can't imagine a worse way for them to have handled this mess.
you bad the same reaction when kreutz was let go.

Old age stinks. I'm old so I know personally it stinks. For great athletes it must be 100 times worse. But that's life.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. But it must be really tough on these guys to wake up one day and suddenly realize it's all over. At such a young age too. Brian just needs to realize he still has a lot he can do off the field. He still has a whole career ahead of him. Just retire, get over the emotions and move on.

Guys, I know for a fact that Jay wasn't responsible for Urlacher leaving. He didn't have any discussions with Phil Emery. He has been hanging out in Miami with Evan Rodri... wait a minute. Damnit, Jay!

Damn sorry to hear that. We had to put our miniature pinscher down a few years ago, it's rough. That one was Angelo's fault. Our long-hair chihauhau only has a few weeks left. Inoperable tumor growing quickly. I'll gladly blame this as Cutler's fault.

It is all on Emery/Trestman. We come out and play well, consistently, the butt-hurtness of this off-season will soon fade. The key is to win, and, at least, play at competitive level.
Not so much the act Rakk but the way it was carried out. There's a difference. I'm glad I'm no longer married to my ex but she'll never be forgiven for the way she conducted herself during our divorce. Some things simply can't be overlooked.
You all can do as you please and rationalize it in as many ways as you like but I won't just look the other way on this one either. Maybe if they'd been more upfront abut this all along I'd feel differently but stop telling me you want players to return when you aren't making any legitimate effort to bring them back. Like I said, I don't like being lied to and the little PR charade that was played out yesterday was so obvious that it was insulting.
Losing two players of the caliber of Izzy and Urlacher in one day after telling us all how much you want them back is crap. In both instances they've known all along the offers they were prepared to make would be termed "insulting". There was no "ongoing process" to it. All it was ever gonna be was a $2 mil take it or leave it for Brian and probably a vet minimum $940k for Izzy all along.
It's the manner in which they approached it that leaves me feeling as I do and as a long time fan I have just as much right to disparage them for it as anyone else does to defend them.

No, that IS funny. Maybe a disclaimer that it was a joke would have helped.
P.S. I'm not joking. My wife's dog really is sick. Damn you Cutler.

Just one more rat from the sewers who doesn't quite get it. Do you? The money is only half of this issue. The manner in which it was done is the other half flushels.
If you're so smart and so right how about you make a suggestion for who we replace him with that would be a better choice. I love how some of you deal with shit like this. Always half of the total solution. Never the whole package.

YIKES, Rakk. We don't use the "R" word here!!!
We use a kinder and gentler "politically correct" term here.
