non-superfans week 2

Before we get to the league, let’s all take a moment to bask in the glow of an impressive Bears win against the Super Bowl favorite Cowboys! A special shout out to Mike Tice and the O Line for adjusting in a tough situation. D is looking like the D that we’ve come to expect from our Monsters! And howsabout that Cutler guy, eh? He could be good!
Norman v. Nick
Nick refuses to believe that Ryan Grant is out for the season (really, bro, it’s on ESPN and everything!) His Chargers D got 6 takeaways, and Dallas Clark, Malcom Floyd, and Hakeem Nicks all got TD’s. One more running back, and Nick may have won it. Norman got the usual gaudy numbers from Aaron Rodgers, and Andre Johnson had a huge day (158 and a Touch). A nice line from Bush on Monday night put him over the top…but Bush FUMBLES on his last play of the game, and leaves with a broken leg. The fumble was exactly what Nick needed to win. Wowsers!
Norman—78 Nick—79
Bigwill v. Menace
Menace was more surprised than everybody when Aromashodu sat out the game in one of Jay Cutler’s best games. Bad for him, good for Will, who got 23 out of Cutler. (I sat him behind Tom Brady in my other leagueL) Will earns turn-around of the week, as he goes from lowest- to highest-scorer
Bigwill—105 Menace—71
Globe of Frogs v. BearfanMike
GOF got good production all around, but Phillip Rivers and Tim Hightower stood out. And Mark Clayton was a fortunate FA pick-up! BearfanMike had a rough outing from Joe Flacco (4 picks), and Jason Witten had his day cut short (Let us pause to bask…)
GlobeofFrogs—102 BearfanMike—74
Riczaj v. Boochee
Boochee survived the goose-egg from Kevin Kolb, with TDs from all his WRs, and a big day from LeSean McCoy. Tony Romo hit his projections, but was limited by DaBears (Let us pause…). Gore had a big night, but not big enough to overcome Boochee.
Boochee—86 Riczaj—81
Papabear v. Hammer of the Gods
This game basically came down to Quarterbacks. Derek rolled out Schaub, while Hammer had big-brother-Manning. Both had big games, but Schaub had the better fantasy stats. CJ2K was no help to Hammer, with a 1.3 point day.
Papabear—86 Hammer—79
Koko v. American Pitbull
Koko made ALL the wrong decisions this week, and left most of his points on the bench. In an amusing turnaround, Pitbull threw Vick to the Lions, and got 19 points from him. Gates got 2 TDs and White 1. The real difference was Miami’s DEF, who beat up on Favre, and scored 21. (Let us bask in the glow of funeral pyre of the 0-2 Vikings!)
Pitbull—103 Koko—83
Kudos to Globe of Frogs as the only undefeated team in the league. Both of last week’s powerhouses (Koko & Hammer) suffered embarrassing losses. This league is more balanced that originally thought!
Next week’s matchups:
Menace v. Papabear
Norman v. Bigwill
Globe of Frogs v. Hammer Of The Gods
Riczaj v. BearfanMike
American Pitbull v. Nick
Koko v. Boochee
