non-superfans week 11

Odd weekend w/ DaBears playing on Thursday night. Happily, the shutout really helped my fantasy team! Bear Down, Boys!
We had a tie this week, which is something I’ve never seen in a league w/ fractional points. It allowed Pitbull to keep his overall lead by ½ a game.
American Pitbull v. Globe Of Frogs
As I mentioned, this game ended in an exact tie. Vick didn’t put up the huge line that he has the past couple of weeks, and Globe needed Philip Rivers and Nate Keading to put up 16 more points than Brandon Lloyd to come back. He had it until Lloyd scored a late (and pointless) TD. Rivers scrapped for a few more points and Globe led by .20 points. Rivers final kneeldowns were a loss of 1 yard each, and ended up in a perfect tie! I’ll be interested to see if Yahoo! has any stat corrections to throw this game either way.
Pitbull—113.02 Frogs—113.02!
Papabear v. Boocheeman
This was a game of ups and downs. Derek got off to a strong start with Forte scoring 16 on Thursday. Baltimore’s DEF got 23 in a strong showing, and Palmer also got 16. Ahmad Bradshaw was his down, scoring -1.6 Boocheeman got a big line from his RBs, w/ McCoy getting 20 and Jamaal Charles with 12. Reggie Wayne scored 16, and David Akers got 13. His downs were Kolb, who didn’t play, and Randy Moss who hasn’t gotten into the Titans gameplan, yet.
Papabear—80 Boocheeman—73
Bigwill v. Bearfanmike
Will got a useful night out of Orton, and Thomas Jones and Pittsburgh’s DEF each got him 19. Dan Carpenter was held out of field goal range by Chicago, and blanked him. BFM scored well with Matt Cassel, Braylon Edwards, and Jeremy Maclin. Unfortunately, Ryan Torain was a scratch, and that cost him the week.
Bigwill—71 BearfanMike—65
Norman v. Hammer Of The Gods
After his slow start, Norman is finally getting his groove on! He put up the biggest line of the week @ 132. He is fishing for RBs, but his RBs put up 44 this week. Add in Rodgers’ 31, Santonio Holmes’ 24, and Santana Moss’ 14, and he had a BIG week. Hammer got 28 ut of Peyton, and 39 out of his RBs. Steve Johnson had a big day in his comeback victory, but bad days from Vernon Davis and Manningham negated his gains.
Norman—132 Hammer—118
Menace v. Nick
In a matchup of largely abandoned teams, Menace got 10 each from Megatron and LT. Gould got him 13. Nick got 15 from Fitzgerald, and 18 from Turner.
Menace—40 Nick—63
Koko v. Riczaj
In a game between 2 evenly matched teams, both were looking for a share of first place. Riczaj got 20 out of Peyton Hillis, and 14 out of Josh Freeman. Philly D got him 11. koko’s underperforming WR corps finally got going with TDs from all 3 WRs (Jennings got 3!) Arian Foster scored 22, and DaBears D got him 18 in the shutout in Miami. It was too much for Riczaj to overcome, and koko gets the big win.
Koko—131 Riczaj—81
Pitbull keeps his overall lead by ½ game, but koko is hot on his heels with more overall points.
Next Week’s Matchups:
Riczaj v. Pitbull
Frogs v. Boochee
Papabear v. BearfanMike
Bigwill v. Hammer
Menace v. Norman
Koko v. Nick
