non-superfans week 13

I wasn’t able to watch the Bears game this week, as I was @ my niece’s birthday party (in WI, ugh!) I’m glad that they kept pace on the Pack, but it sounds as though it was a second-half effort. We face a Pats team that just steamrolled their division rivals this week, and I’m hoping that traveling on a short week affects them. On to imaginary news:
Riczaj v. Boocheeman
Riczaj had a tough week, as Miami sold out to stop Peyton Hillis, and the Bears relied on their running game, at the expense of Johnny Knox. Danny Woodhead and Jonathan Stewart broke double digits. Boochee had solid lines out of Shady McCoy and Reggie Wayne, scoring 25 and 26 respectively. Jamaal Charles scored 13, and Kevin Kolb still didn’t play.
Riczaj—64 Boochee—85
Globe Of Frogs v. BearfanMike
Globe got 19 out of MJD, and 14 out of Phillip Rivers, while Dwayne Bowe was shut down by Denver. BFM had a good DEF performance from MIN, but Cassel struggled (12), and Ryan Torain is still hurt.
Globe –73 BFM—63
Papabear v. Hammer Of The Gods
Derek jumped out to an early lead with 16 out of Schaub on Thursday night. His RBs kept him rolling, combining for 40, and Anquon Boldin added 17. Hammer’s QB, Peyton, still put up decent numbers despite his current woes, kicking in 18. Giants D added 20, and Vernon Davis added another 18. Hammer had to make up points on Monday night, and Green-Ellis did what he could with nearly 20, but Hammer fell .72 short. Derek gets a tight win.
Papabear—99 Hammer—98
Norman v. Nick
Norman is our league’s hottest team, on a 5-game win streak. Aaron Rodgers earned 27, and Andre Johnson got 15. Cleveland’s DEF scored well in a tight game vs. Miami. Nick had Michael Turner score 14, but Fitzgerald and Eli struggled. Nick had 4 goose-eggs on hurt players. Norman has a big matchup with Bigwill this week, and could sneak into the playoffs with a win, after starting the season in the cellar.
Norman—89 Nick—35
Menacemanic v. Bigwill
Menace got a useful line out of Drew Brees (19), and Calvin Johnson scored a TD (boo!) for 12. Michael Bush surprised with 95 yds and a TD against SD. Bigwill suffered through Kyle Orton’s worst performance of the season (.68). He got good days from his RBs (Steven Jackson 17, Thomas Jones 10), but having only 1 WR active (DeSean Jackson, 8) ultimately hurt him.
Menace—70 Bigwill—56
Koko v. American Pitbull
In a battle for first place, Pitbull jumped out early with Michael Vick scoring 27 to Arian Foster’s 22. Pitbull got 16 out of Ced Benson, and 13 from Gates. Seattle’s DEF even kicked in a respectable 12. koko had pretty much everybody but Shiancoe doing endzone dances, as AP scored 3TD, Jennings scored 2TD, TO and Wes Welker scored 1TD, and Tom Brady just abused the Jets for 4.
Koko—144 Pitbull—97
Koko takes over the #1 spot by ˝ game and 96 overall points, and clinches a playoff berth. Pitbull clinched last week, and is in. Bigwill (8-5), Globe Of Frogs (7-5-1), and Norman (7-6) are all in the hunt.
Next Week’s Matchups:
American Pitbull v. Nick
Riczaj v. BearfanMike
Globe Of Frogs v. Hammer Of The Gods
Norman v. Bigwill (w/ playoff implications)
Papabear v. Menace
Koko v. Boochee
