To start w/I apply to the Matthew Berry approach of 1 K, 1 D and 1 TE; so take this w/a grain of salt if you disagree.

Start Shaub, but qb's are fine. have Shaub in both my FF leagues, I think he's going to have a monster year w/Foster having hammy problems.

RB's Turner is awesome, dending on how Philly uses him so is Brown, but if Ryan Matthews does what he did last year rb is on the weak side since Barber is hurt. I'd try and get a guy like Hightower(#1 rb) out of Was, Willis McGahee(rz/goal line rb in a run first O) out of Denver or something along those lines; maybe even a Sproles or Pierre Thomas to bolster that crew.

    WR's nice group.

TE's Only problem w/NE players not named Brady is you don't know when they will get their #'s called, but Heap should be fine; and when Hernandez does get his # called, he will be a beast. After Heap has his bye I would try and trade Hernandez myself, really no need for 2 TE's.

Def, try and trade the Giants for a rb or wr to further bump them up. There is never a need for 2 D's when you have the Steelers, and in their bye you'll be able to find a D w/a good matchup, even if it's normally a Bad D.

    Kicker awesome.

    .
I was surprised to see how weak Pittsburgh defense was. So now I'm thinking about trading Steelers Def and Giants Def for Eagles, Bears, Jets or Chargers Def. Is that a good idea?

Or maybe I can drop Giants Def and add Texans or Redskins Def.

And what about trading Hernandez and Heap for Jason Witten?

I'm not good at the trades stuff LB; but it's only week one, don't make a lot of drasstic moves yet. If you can trade the Giants or Steelers, and still want a 2nd D, try and trade for a mid round rb/wr and see what you can get.

I don't think there are FF leagues that allow 2 for 1 trades very often, but again I'm not good on the trade scheme.
1 rule to remember though, no matter where the player was drafted, if you can upgrade through trade or FA you should, don't get attached to anyone.

I just dropped TE Todd Heap and added TE Dustin Keller (Jets) instead.

Ric, I'm thinking about waiving Ronnie Brown or Marion Barber so I can add RB Willis McGahee (Broncos) or Cadillac Williams (Rams) and then trade him for New Orleans' Darren Sproles. Is that a good idea?

the drop add for willis mcgahee is a great idea.

no one in their right mind would trade you sproles for one of them though....but if they aweome on your end. Cadillac is also hurt though, and steven jackson is about to come back on. don't worry about CW. If you can get the Hedu guy from Washington or Tate from Hou or even dexter mccluster from KC(in that order) those are all good pickups. Keller is a steal, great for you for grabbing him.

Since Steelers' James Harrison is out for a few weeks and Troy Polamalu's having a weak season I dropped Pittsburgh DEF and added Eagles DEF because I still believe they'll step up and make the playoffs.

So my "new" team looks like this...

    QB: Jay Cutler, Matt Schaub

RB: Ryan Matthews, Michael Turner, Darren Sproles

WR: Miles Austin, Mike Wallace, Jeremy Maclin, Johnny Knox, Torrey Smith

    TE: Aaron Hernandez, Dustin Keller

    K: Robbie Gould

    DEF: Giants, Eagles
Well, now I'd like to know what player should I trade for? Or is there anyone on my roster I should drop or add? Here's the list of all top free agent players who are still available:

QB: Rex Grossman, Josh Freeman, Jason Campbell
RB: Cadillac Williams, Marshawn Lynch, Earnest Graham
WR: Eric Decker, Demarius Moore, Victor Cruz, Deion Branch, Plaxico Burress
TE: Greg Olsen, Brandon Pettigrew, Jeff king, Jared Cook, Brandon Sheffler
    DEF: 49ers, Titans, Redskins, Bills

I'm still trying to trade Torrey Smith for DeSean Jackson / Giants DEF for Texans DEF.

    Any thoughts?
