I don't know if it was discussed in the Marinelli thread, which is now on page 9... but the defensive quality control coach that was hired today, Mikal Smith is Lovie's son. While it's a position that won't affect this team's performance very much, since he'll probably spend a lot of time cutting tape and doing other 'bitch' work, I find it to be an amusing anecdote.

Sure, Daddy's boy has been handed a coaching job in other cases. But it doesn't make him the proper hire. There's tons of more qualified coaches out there that would kill for such a position. The nepotism on this staff is pretty thick. Talk about not leaving your comfort zone.
