Although Matt Forte visited famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews to have his left knee scoped, the Bears running back should be ready for the off-season workout program scheduled to begin March 29.
Forte, who entered the '09 campaign coming off a partially torn hamstring, did not use injuries as an excuse despite a dip in production from his rookie year.
Falcons tight end coach Chris Scelfo, who coached Forte at Tulane, is not surprised that Forte played through the pain.
"Absolutely, I've seen him play through pain before,'' Scelfo said. "He's just very unselfish. If he thought he was hurting the team, he wouldn't have done it. Matt's a guy who is going to go to work every day and do the best of his ability.''
Forte, who had arthroscopic surgery last month, saw Andrews about his knees while in college, which would explain why he made a return trip. The clean-up procedure might have been related to the sprained medial collateral ligament Forte suffered during the Bears' 25-19 win at Seattle in Week 3, although he banged up the same knee late in the season.
The last day of the Bears' off-season program is scheduled for June 25

See, this is part of what pisses me off.
You have some fans who say "I don't care how injured you are. You get paid to play so play"
And you have other fans who say "If you are hurt and can not play 100% step aside to let someone else play"
If they play hurt (like so many want) those players get called out for being crappy players for not putting up the stats that are expected.
If they sit out with an injury, fans call them weak and gutless.
same lose/lose when they do talk, posters say 'who cares all bs"
its a different situation DB.
Let me simplift things for you.
Some fans, want players to play hurt because they get paid to play.
Some fans, want players to sit uot if they are not 100% to give the team the best chance to win with a healthy player
If a player plays hurt, and does not put up numbers they expect, fans bitch
If a player sits because they are hurt, fans bitch.
That has NOTHING to do with my feelings on what they say in the media. What they say in the media about their coaches or teammates has nothing to do with how fans feel and think about players when they are hurt.

but isn't what they say about injuries?? theyBS and we can't beleive them? or is that different? and on this one specific subject they are 'truth tellers' and on others we can't beleive them and what they say is BS?
jsut trying to get to the bottom of when we need to know a players is telling the truth and we can beleive them and what they say is important and when we need to ignore them and they are Bs'ers
thanks
to me just seems if someone wants to bith they will no matter what is said or not or whether injured or not.

English, do you speak it? Doesn't look like it, because its hard to comprehend what you are saying half the time.
When they are talking about their fellow players or coaches, its likely BS because you wont throw them under the bus if you have to work with them or for them.
Injuries are another story. With injuries, you have doctors saying they are injured.
Why can you not see the seperation of the two? One one hand, you have players kissing one another's ass, and kissing their coaches ass.
On the other, you have doctors and the team saying a player was injured.

Again, two seperate situations.
So when a DR says a player needs surgery that is truthful and not a conspricacy to hide bad play? good to know, because remember the opposite last week
On the other, you have doctors and the team saying a player was injured.
So then you understand tommie now, right?as he had surgeries the last 2 offseasons and this will be his first w/o surgery or is that still different
I think maybe some people need to stop riding players jocks and call spades. He sucked balls this year. You can blame it on whatever you want but he was not the same Forte. But he had to play through his injuries cause we dont have appropriate backups at the position. If he doesnt tough it out who will start Wolffe lmfao riiiiiiiiiiiight
