After watching the Super Bowl yesterday evening, several things occured to me:
"running off the bus" as a "mindset" is pure genius. Seriously, you did not see the Saints OR Colts wasting precious time with that annoying pass game. And when you do pass, it better be a WR screen.
Defensively, Lovie has nailed it...!!! The more I watched those defenses on the field last night, the more I said to myself: "these guys must have stolen Lovies playbook"...!!! I am glad that Lovie and his friends will be ruining, er, running the defense again this season. Believe me, Marinelli will be MORE than just a figure head. I mean, just look at how much better the D-Line was after a season of working his magic.
Never make adjustments. NEVER on game day, and only quarterly throughout the season. Create your game plan and stick with it, love it, and blindly believe in it...!!! Unless of course you find success within a certain area, like rushing. Then you either bench Forte or go to the passing game. Being painfully predictable can make you unpredictable.
And the most outstanding fact of all: The New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl. New Orleans is the home of Jazz. Lovie Smith LOVES smooth jazz...!!! You put two and two together.
Hmmm, I am not sure what to make of the bears offense for this coming season. But, I am pretty sure that the defense will soundly suck. It will be a level of suck that has not been reached since the likes of Terry Shea or John Shoop.
Add to that the fact that there most likely will be no football in 2011 and the picture becomes rather Grimm. And not Russ Grimm, the guy that the bears brought to Chicago (in a desperate attempt to make it look like they were really searching hard for a HC) right before announcing Lovie Smith was the new HC. Which just goes to show that the Bears hiring process has been laughable for at least the last few decades.
Football is starting to suck. But that is another story. Unfortunately, for us bears fans, we will be pretty used to it by then.

The only outlet available in dealing with the inept, and bumbling, bear franchise happens to be my inciteful, and often humorous, postings here on the board.

Cause those of us who come here, and HAVE been coming here for a little break from the day to day grind, and B.S. want nothing more than to listen to you and Nerrad just freakin Complain like there's no tomorrow.
there's having a gripe... and then you have taking your misery and spouting off till you make OTHERS miserable.
your "humor" makes this place almost unbearable at times, and all I've ever asked is to just lighten up a LITTLE, and TRY and enjoy a few of the positives we DO HAVE.
I'm all about bitching just like the next guy, it does feel good to vent now and again. just not every freaking day, every freaking post, all the freaking tme.
just askin for you and other's to just give it a rest for a while. not stop completley, just give those of us who ARNT all "gloom and doom" a chance to revel in the good, and talk about the success we COULD have next year.

Would you rather have everybody praising the franchise over what they have done over the last couple of years? The homerism is no different than the people who bitch about the franchise. I have seen plenty of threads about how great we are going to be and then reality sinks in and we get crushed. Sugar coating a failing program will not make people feel better about the positives this team have to offer. Most of us are not happy with the way it is running and venting is probably the only thing to talk about. I don't know about you but when I see lovie smith talk I just cring over the BS he spews.
