Either way it's a psychological excuse and he needs to overcome it now. Chicago won't put up with his kind of production, or lack thereof, for very long. Sox fans are used to guys like Konerko and Pierzynski who just go out an do it day after day. Thank God Williams made sure he re-signed them. They're about the only two hitting their weight.
Except for 2005 it's always the same old story. We either trade away pitching and get hitters but no pitching or we get a decent pitching staff and everyone forgets how to hit the baseball. Right now I'd say the Sox have the biggest group of underperformers in the entire league. They suck!
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

The hard thing to figure out is that both of them have proven that they can play. The big question is why aren't they? Is it Ozzie?
