I'm with you on this one mo. It was time for Ozzie to move on. I love his personality but not his managerial skills. Too much lost since the pennant in 2005. But you're right about Williams. I'm not sure who is the worse GM. Him or JA.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I don't know what to expect going forward. We have an owner that owns a basketball team and he will be losing money from the lockout. We have a bloated payroll with a team that is getting little fan support so the salary chop is coming. 4 untraceable big contracts with no production from peavy, rios, Dunn, thorton. No prospects that could help. Who the hell would want to manage in that situation.

Robin Ventura is the NEW White Sox Manager

I really like to see Frank Thomas as the new hitting coach.

Are you happy with the hire? Why? Just curious cause I dont think he ha any experience as even a bench coach.
Not meant as a slam, I like the guy. One of the White Sox players I have respect for.

I'm pretty happy with Ventura being the manager. Would be a nice change going from Ozzie to someone a bit more level headed, lol. At least this way everyone can understand Robin at a post game press conference. Frank Thomas would probably be my choice for a hitting coach as well.

This roster is going no where the next three years until we clear some bad contracts so really didn't matter to me who is the next coach see me in three years

I don't get the pick myself, it's not like Reinsdorf is a cheapskate, so money wasn't an issue. Would have preferred someone with experience but we'll see.
