Sox haven't been close to beating a Yankees team since the days of the 1959 Go Go Sox.....sad isn't it?

They did in 2005! We won the AL East that year, but the Sox were clearly the best team in baseball.

Exactly. So the Sox got no hit by one of the best throwers in MLB and it's no shame. Big deal we've had our share of them over the past few years as well.

There is a sign at the end of the driveway at his former house. "Yes, Justin Verlander used to live here and NO you can't take a picture"

Then in tiny letters underneath it says "unless you have $5".
