Durrant, Howard, James, Rose, Kobe...... no matter who you are, if you play in Chicago you will always be in Jordan's shadow.

This kind of reminds me of the story of Mickey Mantle when he was first coming up in the Yankees system. He was so talented that he was being lumped in with Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Joe DiMaggio all in one. He struggled when he first came up, but then took off by 1954 and the rest was history.

I think Derrick Rose can be like Isaiah Thomas, which isn't a bad thing. He is going to need a better supporting cast if he is going to win some championships. He is still young, so he has time to shake this horrible series against the Heat off and move forward.

I believe this is what you were trying to say about Rose

Too bad it takes two of the best in the NBA to do so.

I could see trading Boozer and Noah for Dwight Howard in a deal that would be equally as enticing as the one you mentioned. Boozer is awful in most every defensive situation; look no further than in the closing minutes of regulation last night when LeBron James blew right by him and he failed to get in front of James, set his feet, and draw the charge. He is good at scoring, but I think that with him gone and Howard in, we would be set. As far as Noah goes, he has acted like a big cry baby in this series, and it wasn't helped by what he said to those fans while on the bench. Noah has been getting out muscled in the paint; smaller players are able to reject nearly ever scoring opportunity he gets because he plays "too softly." Dwight Howard is a little taller or at least as tall as Noah, and can score 21-22 points per game too. Both play great defense, so I think that would be worthy of further conversation in the future.
No Deng doesn't have the ability to create his own shot; and if he does; there is a crippling unwillingness to do so. He is the 2nd best player...and that is rather unfortunate.

Noah has been the only person under the rim most of this series; it's hard to outrebound when it's one on 3. He has't been the problem on D or on the boards. He's not a great scorer, but is a great passer/facilitator. He also has next to no value outside of Chicago. Deng/Boozer both have more value to other teams. What is he supposed to say when they are getting beat up; that isn't going to come off poorly? What was said to the fan I have no problem w/b/c that fan was beyond vulgar by all the reports. That kind of shit would get you thrown out of many stadiums I've been to.

I never said Howard wasn't a better player, he hands down is. Having those two in the paint would do wonders for shutting down a team like Miami though; which was my point.

This teams holes have b/c greatly exposed in this series, and I'm not sure what they are going to do to fix them b/c of the Boozer/Korver contracts. But they need a legit scorer who can consistantly try and create their own shot w/out D Rose...and that guy is not on this team.

I have to disagree with the highlighted area. Deng does create his own scoring opportunities because he is good in dribble penetration and is good at shooting jump shots. His height helps him in this area. From what I've seen of Luol Deng, he is able to create some way of scoring because he's been scoring on average between 13-18 points per night for the Bulls in this series. I just hate to see Deng go. I don't know enough about NBA Drafts to understand this stuff, but I think that the Bulls might be able to trade their first round pick and Boozer to Orlando to get Dwight Howard. We need Deng as a supporting cast player. I just don't care for Joakim Noah, and haven't ever since his college days at the University of Florida.

I will agree that the fan said something really nasty, but Noah should know better than to lower himself to that fan's level. I think the heat of battle caught with him and he had a lapse of judgment, but you just don't say stuff like that to the people who pay your salary. (I say "the people who pay your salary" because the Bulls get a cut of the gate off of these games.) Personally, I agree with you in that the fan in question should have been thrown out of the arena, but he wasn't, and it was unfortunate to say the least to see Noah get into that kind of trouble.

I have yet to see Deng, consistantly, try and create his own shot off the dribble, he perfers to just shoot the ball from the outside.
There are plenty of reasons not to Like Noah, but he is tall, long and athletic and gives this team an edge that not many others have on this team. As much of a poor O player as he is; he more then makes up for it w/his assists rebounds and D.
As for the fan, it wasn't something, it wasn't a few things, this guy started from the start, and Noah react (poorly I might add) much later into that game. It's one thing to ride a guy, saying he's he sucks, or is getting owned is fine...getting vulgar and nasty and getting personal about family members is not acceptable...and after 2-3 qtrs just about anyone is going to react; ecspecially someone as intense as Noah. There is a reason he only got a slap on the wrist 50K fine and not a 6 figure one like Kobe.
