After the performance that the Yankees put up last night against the Red Sox, I really wish now that I had watched the Bulls. I saw highlights of the game on ESPN off and on throughout the baseball game, and there for a while in the first half, I was honestly afraid that we were going to lose, that Miami's "Big Three" were going to totally outlast and outclass the Bulls, who have just the one superstar. That being said, Rose, Noah, Boozer, and Deng really came through for them last night. I really do wish now that I had watched the Eastern Conference Finals game rather than the horrifyingly bad performance by the Yankees.

Yeah...I'm a big baseball fan. It's my favorite sport.

Ah-hah. My thing is w/any sport w/more then 30+ games I see no point in watching the first 1/3 of the season is over. I can watch each week in football b/c each game normally does matter; 175 games later(or whatever baseball is up to now) I wouldn't even remember the games I watched.

Outside of University of Tennessee football, which I began watching during the 1989 season when I was eight years old, the sport I have associated myself longest with is baseball. I started watching the Yankees in the spring of 1990. They sucked that year, finishing in dead last place in the American League East. I followed the team and worshiped the ground Don Mattingly walked upon. It still saddens me to this day that he never got to play on those great Yankee teams of the 1990s and early 2000s, and even worse that he is wearing a Dodger uniform right now when he should still be on the Yankees' coaching staff in some capacity.
I did, however, follow the Bulls because of Michael Jordan, not so much because the team was winning championships all throughout the 1990s. Jordan revolutionized sports in the modern world today. There will never be another one like: not Kobe Bryant, LeBron James...nobody will take his place. He is my favorite all-time basketball player despite having spurned the opportunity to play at the University of Kentucky and instead going on to play at North Carolina.

Yeah, it was a DAMN good game, especially for Bulls fans lol. But the first half was entirely back and forth battle, and it looked like this was going to go the full 7 games...neither team could get any momentum, it was a battle of wills, ending tied at half. But then the Bulls simply steam rolled them midway through the 3rd til the end.
i agree with Ric, definitely should watch the Bulls over any May baseball. Could be witnessing another chapter in Bulls history.

The Eastern Conference finals opening game between the Bulls and Heat was the most-viewed NBA game in history on cable television, TNT announced Monday. The network's coverage of the Bulls' 103-92 romp drew 11.1 million total viewers and a 6.2 U.S. household rating, topping TNT's previous record of 10.8 million viewers for Michael Jordan's last All-Star Game, in 2003.

And the other top rated; was b/c of another Bull....Seems the LA/Bos/NY thing needs Chicago's help when it comes to Basketball ratings.

lol, i think NY has given up on the Knicks by now. But yeah, obviously Jordan's last All-star Game wouldve pulled alot more then any other game since then, and this playoff series is huge for three reasons: All of the Bulls fans cheering the Bulls, all the Heat "fans" cheering the Heat on, and everyone else who just want to see the Heat lose.

There's a long story behind that nickname and it's know to few. Phinfnatic is the one who came up with it but Jon's seldom around here anymore. You can ask him how it all came about or if I get real restless some evening I might be persuaded to PM you the story behind it. It's both funny yet pathetic at the same time.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
