kelly should have kicked the FG to end the first 1/2, montana looked like crap- kick that and at end, the irish have a FG to Win, instead of needing the TD, he screwed that one..

but they got some more committments for 2011

Despite loss, Notre Dame gets twin commitments

The defeat to Michigan was gut-wrenching, but Notre Dame made a twin killing in recruiting anyway.

Twin brothers George and Josh Atkinson both made oral commitments to play for the Irish starting in 2011, according to multiple online reports.

George Atkinson is a four-star prospect who likely will play either running back or receiver, a 6-foot-2, 194-pound athlete rated the No. 86 player nationally by Rivals.com. Josh Atkinson is a 6-foot, 180-pound three-star cornerback that will offer much-needed depth at the position.

The Atkinsons are the 17th and 18th commitments to the Irish's Class of 2011 recruiting haul. The South Bend Tribune, Irish Illustrated, Blue & Gold Illustrated and Irish Eyes all reported the Atkinsons' pledges.

Another tough "L".. kelly will have a very successful career at ND, he really has them playin well, but still needs more horses... That was a real ballsy call at end, couldn't beleive they called it,, though should ahve been waived off as the time had run out on the clock..

Ryan Whalen, Stanford's leading receiver for the past two seasons, has a dislocated left elbow and is expected to miss the team's game at Notre Dame this weekend.

ND had their chances against Stanford, but couldn't capitalize. Some very shaky officiating to start the game. Stanford looked good.
