I didn't turn on the game until it was about a third of the way into the 1st Period last night. That was a great game. I'm sorry to hear that Chris Chelios was booed. He was a warrior on the ice, that much is for certain, and he was a native Chicagoan to boot. He deserved much better than that, and from what I gathered from what he said in his speech, he had it out with Bill Wirtz. Is that true? What happened between the Blackhawks and him back in the 90s?
I watched the game against the Predators on FSN Tennessee. While the announcers were pulling for the Predators, they were fair in their analysis of the game for both sides.
Jack Skille looked awesome against the Preds with his two goals. I have never watched a hockey game where someone had as hat trick before, but I was really hoping he would get one.
He deserved cheers and boos from the crowd. He joined forces with the dark side(Red Wings) then again he played 9 years for the evil emperor(Bill Wirtz). His best years were by far in Chicago. The trade was not bad since Chelios was at the end of his career in chicago, he just didn't know it when he played 10 years for the Red Wings.Originally Posted by vmx12

No jersey was not retired. Just applauded his great career.
I watched the game that his ceremony happened in, but I didn't get to the couch in time to watch the actual ceremony. What I didn't realize is that Chelios is from Chicago.
