The Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, in conjunction with the Special Kids Network and the Orange County Choppers Foundation, will raffle off a special, custom-built bike that is signed by the entire team beginning tonight, Wednesday, October 13, when the team hosts the Nashville Predators at the United Center. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Chicago Blackhawk Charities, the Orange County Choppers Foundation and the Special Kids Network.
Paul Teutul Sr., the founder of Orange County Ironworks and Orange County Choppers and star of the reality television show “American Chopper,” will be at the United Center on Wednesday to unveil the bike on the ice during the first intermission.
The Blackhawks logo is displayed on the gas tank, which is autographed by players and coaches of the Stanley Cup Championship team.
The bike’s rims emulate hockey sticks and pucks and the handlebars depict the taped butt-end of a hockey stick. Sponsored by Aaron Equipment Company, Inc, the bike will be on display at several Blackhawks home games at the United Center and at various locations around Chicago and will eventually be raffled off on April 12. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Blackhawks home games and various locations around Chicago this fall, winter and spring. For a complete list, visit chicagoblackhawks.com.
Chicago Blackhawk Charities supports programs and institutions throughout Illinois that work toward creating a better tomorrow for the youth. An independent non-profit organization, the Special Kids Network was created to provide funding for programs that help children and young adults with special needs. The philanthropic arm of Orange County Choppers, the OCC Foundation designs tribute bikes and undertakes charity builds in support of families in need, American men and women in the armed services, and others.
