I think a part of the reason why the suspension is so many games is because he cause injury and it was to a star player. The NHL is easily professional sports' worst, most inconsistant group when it comes to disciplinary punishment.
In this case, I'm a little taken back by the suspension, but dont see it as harsh as it was a pretty blatant elbow to the head and I think if Sedin wasnt injured he would have gotten a suspension for his hit as well
It is a joke that only Keith got a suspension. Daniel Sedin hit him high in the head also yet he got away with it. Star players like the Sedins are not know for checking and being physical. In this case his shoulder/arm his Keiths head which gets slammed into the boards.
I wonder if his his brother felt what Keith did to him, lol...

Well, to be fair you could suspend Sedin for just as many games if you really wanted to. Daniel is concussed and likely will be out just as long as Keith, if not longer. The only issue would be the repeat offender list for the future.Quote:

Chicago definitely drew the nicer card going into the postseason. I think they soar out of the first round and looks like there is a shot that they face Vancouver out of the first round.
Yep, wanted the Hawks to beat the Wings Saturday but at the same time didn't. Worked out perfectly. I hope Tazer can get 8-10 minutes Thursday and get back in the swing of things.
