Chicago is going to have to look into their defense this offseason. Crawford is still young and may grow, but I think ideally, they should be looking at adding a good, veteran goaltender for a season or two and letting Crawford learn and develop behind him. If im not mistkaen, Chicago also had one of the worst statistical defenses in the league, they really need to find a replacement for Brian Campbell, who, while overpaid looks like he may have been the real veteran anchor back there.

    Patrick Kane incident addressed

CHICAGO -- Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman commented publicly for the first time since pictures emerged of star forward Patrick Kane apparently partying at the University of Wisconsin earlier this month.
"We've discussed it with Patrick and we've handled it internally," Bowman said Tuesday on a conference call to announce the signings of Johnny Oduya and Jamal Mayers. "We're obviously disappointed how it played out and Patrick is aware of that fact."
Kane was shown on Wisconsin's campus during a Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Bowman went on to say it was a private matter and that "out of respect to Patrick," the team would not comment further.
"We're going to look forward and try to focus on things, improving our team leading into the summer," Bowman said.
Kane was arrested in summer 2009 after a dispute with a cab driver in Buffalo, and was photographed partying with teammates and women in a limousine in Vancouver the following season.

Really?? This guy works hard all year sacraficing for the team, rather its practice, gameday, conditioning etc. He is a pro athlete, yes, and must maintain a respectful image. BUT, he is still a human and deserves to let go once in a while. As long as he is doing nothing wrong, then let him be. For god sakes, stop worrying about what others are doing. Ask this question.....did he break any laws by partying with college students? Doubt it. So, let the guy have some fun.

Only ESPN could make partying with your friends and a girl in a limo sound like a bad thing.

    Go #88!

Patrick Kane is a great player, but a bad person. He beats up Cabbies over a dollar, chokes women, and utters racial slurs. All while drunk mind you, but that is no excuse. He needs to clean up his damn act

He sounds a little bit like Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Paul Hornung, Max McGee, etc. All of them partied. I do know that in the case with Mantle, it shortened his career. With Ruth, he seemed to play on like nothing ever happened except for the 1922 and 1925 seasons, when his antics got him in trouble with the Yankees and Major League Baseball. It's believed that Ruth screwed himself into a case of "The Clap" in 1925.
