I was kind of hoping at least 1 Kings player fell on his face while making the rounds. Just sayin.

Sorry, but I wouldnt get your hopes too high.
This club was a mess before Darryl Sutter came in, a team that everyone had pegged as a top contender barely scraped into the playoffs after a known hard-ass comes in and screams and threatens this team just to perform. Sutter's coaching style gets old quickly in the NHL and eventually his screaming and defense-only style of play will fall on deaf ears.
The LA Kings still need some work, they got very good results with a stop-gap coach but will have to see players like Doughty grow up a bit before they become a true, annual contender.
Hockey is a wacky sport. A hot goalie can drag a team far beyond where ANYONE expected that team to go. With that said, these guys have won one Cup and they are all babies in the NHL. I hope they are contenders. I am not expecting them to be contenders though.
I dont think it is unreasonable to expect them to be a legitimate contender from year to year, but this team also has alot of work to do before they start becoming yearly favorites. The other negative that you will be looking at is the value of players. After they win the Stanley cup, or even contend to play for it, the salaries of your players are going to skyrocket to an unreasonable point. I wont be shocked if a player like Jarett Stoll is gone and making 4.5 in some other market.
Hockey is the most difficult sport to repeat a championship let along build a dynasty
