    Hockey in Denmark..

    Hello there guys,
So we all miss NHL and hopes it soon starts so the Hawks can win the cup again, but I thought why not take some pictures from our local hockey team's stadium and tell you a bit about it.
Last night was local rivaly. The team we played is based right over the German border about 50 km away. They have the best supporters, in Denmark the primary sport is soccer but in Vojens(The city name) it's hockey, and unlike the NFL/Amercian culture they'll sing chants and have flags with them just like a soccer match in Europe.
We used to be a great team but since 2005 it was been going down hill and now we're 10 games into the season and still havn't got our first victory.
    Danish Champions: 1969, 1988, 1993, 1996 and 2004.
    Silver: 1963, 1965, 1972, 1986, 1992, 1994, 1995 and 1997
    Bronze: 1964, 1966, 1967, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1985, 1999 and 2000.
Here is a video from our last champion ship. When I watch it I still get chills, I remember watching it with my dad.. One of the best hockey games I've seen..
3-3 in series, we're at home down 0-2 2 minuts left to go of the game and... well...
That will tell you everything and there are English subs so you can understand what they commentaters are saying.

Anyway my dad used to work with the ass. coach, and he makes some things for the club and in return we get free season pass' if I'm honest I wouldn't pay to go see them as bad as they play now.
Right let's get to the photos!

The little green dot is where picture 2 and 3 are taken from. This is the spot where my dad and I normally stand, right behind the playerbox of our team.

    Red dot=Picture one

Pink dot= Is the place where the away team's supporter is located it's only this crowed against two teams the other team which is just 40 km or so north of us and is a top team aswell.

Last night the number of spectors where 1051 and there is space enough for 4000 people. This is pretty much how the hockey stadiums in Denmark look... really old. There are only two new stadiums and one of them is "owned" by the team we played.
    This is how it looks:

Anyday that's the story time for today kids! Just before I press post I can tell you that we lost 4-2 and that the goals where scored by an Amercian. ;)

    May the NHL soon return!
