Devin Hester, Brian Urlacher, and the rest of the Bears defense closed out their season with back to back wins for the first time during this dissapointing year.

Turner is thinking outside the box

From what we saw against the Philly Eagles, Ron Turner is thinking outside the box.

He's using Devin Hester in more offensive plays. So far he's had a positive impact. The long 81 yard pass play for a touchdown against the Vikings helped. Now defenses know he has to played as a serious deep threat. Turner can use this to spread the field.

This led to some pretty open

It's been awhile

I'm not sure why I haven't posted any blogs on here lately.

Maybe it's because I haven't had much to say about the Chicago Bears? Maybe it's that I am still shell shocked at how they have played this year?? Who knows.
So I'll just pick up and try to stay positive.

We should be happy to see that we ARE able to score some points. They may not be pretty, but we do have weapons.

The problem in my opinion lies with

Can someone tell me the status of the Bears?

Well, who knows what this Sunday will bring.

I can tell you one thing, it is wierd seeing the Chicago Bears all over ESPN. This is something we have almost never seen. Now to me this shows that people expected us to be the team in the NFC. We all know they didn't really give us credit for being a good team deep down. Being the NFC champions they have no other choice but to make us the team to beat.

This Sunday we will see what life if like without Rex at the wheel. Is Brian Griese the answer? I wouldn't put MY money on it!

Rex doesn\'t seem to be progressing; Bears defense looks agressive

CHICAGO (AP) -- Devin Hester fielded the punt, and in a flash, the Chicago Bears were in control.Hester scored on a 73-yard punt in the second quarter and set up a field goal in the third with another long return as the defending NFC champions beat the Kansas City Chiefs 20-10 on Sunday.Meanwhile, Cedric Benson did his part to dispel the notion he's soft, but Rex Grossman had another mediocre outing.Benson carried 24 times for 101 yards -- eight shy of his career high -- after being held to 42 in last week's 14-3 season-opening loss at San Diego. It was a different story for Grossman.

Shower Rankings

As per onemanswarm on DaBearz.com: Every Tuesday morning, I wake up an hour early so that I can sit on the floor of my shower and meditate on the current state of the NFL until the water runs cold. This morning, through the power of prayer, the following rankings were revealed to me:1. New England Patriots (12-4): The Patriots had the busiest off-season of anyone not starring in The Simple Life. In the age of parity and rapidly-closing championship windows, the Pats have uncovered the secret to building a dynasty. Turns out, all you have to do is hire a sleeve-averse genius to coach the Hall-of-Fame quarterback you drafted in the sixth round.2. Indianapolis Colts (12-4): The big question for Tongy & Co. seems to be whether Joddai can single-handedly complement the passing game of Peynning and Marvison. Well, if Madden ’08 is any indication, then the answer is a resounding yes. In the parlance of our times, his agility and elusiveness are off the hinge!

Well, Lance Briggs just agreed to sign a one year contract with the Chicago Bears. The contract amount is for the same amount he would have earned with the franchise tag, $7.2 million.Lovie has arranged a conference on this during training camp.I'm sure there will be more to follow.

Chicago Bears and Charles Tillman agree to terms.

Well, looks like Lance Briggs missed another bus. Today, Charles Tillman, and the Chicago Bears agreed to a six year contract. While there has been no offical release on the amount, rumor has it that the contract is worth $41.5 million, $18.5 million is guaranteed money.Charles has played in 53 games, while starting 49 games over four seasons. He was selected with out 35th overall draft pick (2nd round), in the 2003 draft.Charles is the fourth player to agree to terms this offseason. He follows Olin Kreutz, Hunter Hillenmyer, and Nathan Vasher. “I commend the Bears for doing a great job of getting it done and my agent as well,” Tillman said. “They
