Thread: The Rex Grossman Poll

I was at the game in Minnesota where Grossman broke his ankle scoring a touchdown. I had excellent seats and was with this hippy from California that had never been to a football game. Utmost respect for the man... Too bad it didn't work out!!

Torn. Its hard to remember that we were torching teams by 30+ points up until the Monday Night Game in Arizona.....he looked like a contender. I think he ran his course in Chicago, bad performances, bad crowd reaction....he was too broken to fix for the Bears. I was hoping he could force his way into the Skins team but with McNabb there it looks like only an injury could see him behind center......shame really

I'd reserve the label "turd" for a wasted draft pick like Benson.

Rex was undone by onfield mistakes (not all of them his own) and off field pressure. But at least he gave the team his all, even if it wasn't enough. Unlike the aforementioned turd.

So "torn" over Rex... so many highs watching him in a navy 8, but too many lows...

McNabb is doubtful for the opener so Rex could start

I'd agree w/Ric's assessment- loved him at first but ended up hating him. Two things that didn't serve him well:
His ability not to improve no signs of adaptation or change. Standing on the sidelines, not talking to anyone-coaches, headsets, reviewing pictures. The biggest thing was no leadership presence, as qb you must talk to your guys, instill their faith in you. You can't force it by having Lovie make him the qb no matter the outcome.

Good Rex Bad Rex said it all and he did enough good that I kept rooting for the guy and wanted him to be the franchise QB, but when he was bad he was throw stuff at the walls bad and would take Cutler 11 times out of 5.

Did not like him, horrible. Im more comfortable with Cutler.
