Are you concerned about the Chicago Bears 2010 season?

With three pre-season games in the books, how worried are you about how the Bears will perform in the 2010 season?

How could you not be? I think even the biggest Koolaid drinker will say there are areas of the team that just aren't goo enough.

The poll is there. The post always goes up before the poll is officially added on.

the oline and wrs will sink the offense

the secondary has done no favors for the defense

and the special teams is soft

average team 8-8 if I was putting money on it

I'm a Bears fan, I'm always concerned about the team (except in 1985/1986).

I do have concerns, but I am equally excited.

I'm not so much worried about our receiving corps as many are.

The areas I do have concerns about are.

O-line of course. Although i think they have the ability to get it together.
LB's. What will urlacher look like this year? Are injuries going to be a problem?
Secondary. Has been soft and really bad the last few years. What's it going to be like this year.
Defensive coaching. Marinelli has never been a DC... what's the play calling going to be like?

I'm not a doomsayer, but I think we are going to struggle this year.

I voted for: winning record, but miss the playoffs.

With an aging D, questionable secondary, questionable O-line and new offense, I just don't see us getting off to a fast start.

I think they have enough playmakers to reach the playoffs but they'll have to scratch and claw to get there. I am worried that the offense will get off to a slow start and that the defense can't get off the field and that could put them at 7-9 again, whereas they have the players to be 9-7 or even 10-6. Really, I think it will come down to coaching and that's where I think they will fail.

I voted "a little but can make a run in the playoffs." I think getting to the playoffs will be a challenge, but once there i think they can make a run. Definitely not one done if they make it that far.

They have the pass rusher to win a playoff game. They also have a QB and two very good RBs. Whether they get to the playoffs depends on whether they can solve their 3rd down troubles and organize the offense. The 3rd down problem is an old one. The offense is a new one. I think the offensive woes might be solved first but it might be too late.
