Who is the most important player for the Bears?

Simply put, the season will be over if we lose which player for the majority of the season?

wish you did one for O or D. that said I went w/Peppers, this D is still carrying the O; and Peppers is the engine behind the D. D would lose a lot w/Urlacher and Tillman also, more so Urlacher, but the pressure Peppers creates, and the double teams he takes on just allows the front 4 to hide the poor cover skills of our DB's, and lets the LB's fly around which is what they are best at.

For O it's two people, Cutler and Forte, we have no one that can replace either of them. The OL/WR?TE's aren't great so any 1 of them are lost another can step in w/out huge loss. But Haine cannot replace Cutler, and Bell/Barber cannot replace Forte.

Tough one...good poll. I went with Urlacher because of the ol' "QB of the defense" cliche...he really is the heart and soul of our defense, and the defense is our identity. I was tempted to put Forte because losing him would absolutely cripple our offense IMO. He's the best and most productive player on offense and our offense revolves around him and his skills.

I probably would've gone with "If we lose any of them, the Bears are screwed" but I think we could manage without Briggs...the others, not so much.

What happens when Urlacher is not on the field? Bad things.

    Hillenmeyer gets concussed don't worry.

I said Cutler because I think offense in for big things this year and it will not see the same throws with #12 in there.

I voted for Urlacher. Simple reason is lack of depth at the linebacker position.

If Cutler went down, I think Hanie could come in and do an adequate job.

If Briggs went down, we would be hurting a lot, but not as much as at the ML position.

If Forte went down, we have Bell and Barber if he ever gets healthy.

If Peppers went down, we have depth on the DL.

It would be a big loss for the team if any of these players went down, but I think Urlacher is the most valuable.

Huge drop off, we would be dead

    I would agree
If Forte went down, we have Bell and Barber if he ever gets healthy.
No one changes the game plan for the defense than him.
If Peppers went down, we have depth on the DL.
    Are you kidding?

Agree that we would be screwed if we lost anyone

Our depth is going to cost us more then people might have thought. Peppers is the lynchpen in this D imo, the LB's/DB's need pressure on the QB, and Peppers is really the only one that can do it on his own.

As fort he O, I think it's telling that "when he gets healthy" for Barber could help replace Forte when it's only week 2 and he hasn't been healthy yet. No one is replacing Forte or Cutler, but the drop off is not near as steep for Cutler to Haine as it is for Forte to Barber/Bell. Forte is the Offense right now; and again he does it behind one of the worst, if not the worst OL in the league.

I would like to change mine, after watching these last two games to the we're screwed if we lose any of them.

I went with Jay but I would have to say our punter is the guy we probably need the most.
