Thankfully California has NO OTHER PROBLEMS at the moment so the governor has time to talk about using tax payer money for a new stadium in LA you know with that huge surplus they have and booming economy. If a team goes I reckon it will be the Rams being that it has a ready made fan base there. If Pete Carroll ends up the head coach of any NFL team, that will be my new least favorite team in sports, unless Bob Stoops also gets a job.

Well the LA area needs football as they haven't had a team since 1995. When the Rams moved to St Louis and the Raiders to Oakland!

Lets give them a team so they can lose it again. Why not. Give them their third strike.
Do it or STFU about it already. I am sick of hearing about the chance they will get another stab at getting an NFL team.

Guess you aren't going to any Seahawk games.
This post smacks of sarcasm, so I'm not sure if I want to ask if the rock was furnished before you moved under it (that's a joke).
I'm assuming you already know.

Seems to me that considering 16 years has past since Los Angeles has had a team that maybe things have changed a bit?
Naaaahhhh! Silly me!

AEG CEO Leiweke wants to bring NFL team to downtown L.A.
LOS ANGELES -- The president and CEO of AEG, the company that owns the LA Live entertainment complex and nearby Staples Center, says he's still working on getting an NFL team to downtown Los Angeles.
Tim Leiweke spoke Thursday night at a fund-raiser for a downtown Los Angeles street-car project. He said if everything works out, the trolley would start running when the NFL returns to the city.
Leiweke says he's committed to working with city officials and AEG's Phillip Anschutz to make a downtown stadium a reality. He wouldn't elaborate on his comments.
Warehouse magnate Ed Roski has permission to build an NFL stadium in Industry, about 15 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, but he has yet to secure a team.
AEG owns the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, a share of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Galaxy and half of the Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer, Home Depot Center -- where the Galaxy plays -- in Carson, south of Los Angeles -- and several soccer and hockey teams in Europe.

I'd be hard pressed to disagree with this. While LA may be a pretty large market, no one here in So. Cal. gives a damn about their NFL teams. San Diego and Oakland are blacked out again this weekend after
going through this last week/the week before. They've lined the highways here with billboards basically trying to give away Charger tickets and still no one goes. If they get to the playoffs though....look out!
All of a sudden people are all over that bandwagon. It's kinda gross, actually.
While the Lakers enjoy a huge fan base, I don't see that carrying over to an NFL team in those numbers. Locals here admit they are fair-weathered about football and the sports bars are never standing room only
like they are in the Midwest or on the East Coast. Imo, its a totally different culture and its really kind of sad for the teams that are already here.
