And why are you bringing older superior to your offensive linemen into this conversation?

Considering how injury riddled our defense was, 51 points might have been getting off lucky. Our offense was the only thing keeping us in that game.
let me guess "hester doing well all offseason a d working with bruce"= who cares? as you said last week... but aj "bust" hawk, losing playing time IN CAMP to chillar in 2010= he did well in offseason?? what a joke!

    your homer goggles showing again

Yes those 50+ sacks given up last year is a 'real superior" o line..lololololol

Injury riddled?? WTF!!.. you first say losing urlacher, pisa ,harris etc to injurry for bears "no excuse".. now the packers injuries an 'excuse"

go it! what extreme homerism as usual from evernight.

and if "lucky" to only give up 51 and have the SAEM players for 2010,, that to anyone with a modicum of football intelligence a REAL BAD SIGN.

So if hawk, woodson, mathews, raji, picket and company gave up 51,, and all back.. doesn't that mean big trouble will continue?

Evernight, lets see him do it in the real season when it actually counts. Much like I have been saying about Hester, playing well in practice situations means squat. Do it when it matters to get credit.

This is also true for Hester, he has looked great in the preseason workouts, practices and whatnot. But he has to be able to do it when it counts and matters.

So Evernight, by your own admission of doing well in preseason, you must believe that Hester will be much improved and be a good addition to the offense, if you are in fact saying that AJ Hawk will be better this season because he has looked good in preseason.

    Cant have it both ways.

Anyone who thinks the Vikes are going to be just as good as last year, hasn't been paying much attention during the offseason.

I don't care who's losing or gaining play time as long as we have our best players on the field at all times.

I didn't say our line as a whole, I said Clifton and Tauscher are superior to anything you have at offensive line. You sling the word "homer" around like it's going out of style.

Injury riddled?? WTF!!.. you first say losing urlacher, pisa ,harris etc to injurry for bears "no excuse".. now the packers injuries an 'excuse"
Show me where I said this.

We gave up 51 points because we were riddled with injuries in the secondary, plain and simple. There were only two games the entire season where the defense played poorly, and those were towards the end when players were going down.

How would having all of our good players back with another year of experience for our young guys = trouble continuing? The logic sector of your brain is non-existant. Had we had all of our players playing and healthy we would have been fine. Instead we had to rely on some crappy backups that hadn't had much play time at all.

I never said he was going to be amazing or even good this season, I said he's showing signs of improvement in camp that he never showed before. Whether or not that actually translates on game day remains to be seen.

Hester isn't a good addition to any offense. He's possibly the worst #1 WR in the league, the only problem is you don't have anything better to overtake him.

How is he showing signs of improving in camp?- when the articles saying he's losing time to chillar and bishop? to everyone else that says he's NOT improving..

need to take off your homer glasses to read the below:

The newest development is Brandon Chillar receiving time outside. Chillar usually plays in the nickel in place of A.J. Hawk, but Chillar has been playing outside. Another aspect of moving Chillar outside is getting Desmond Bishop on the field in the nickel. Could Barnett get an extended look outside on 3rd downs? Chillar is a solid player, but is he big enough to hold the point of attack from an outside spot? I would like to see someone with more size playing the left outside.
    =======================
During the mandatory minicamp, Moss made the unusual comment that Hawk needs to occasionally go outside the scheme in order to make plays.

“The players that take it to another level are the players that, the moment they see an opportunity, whether it’s within the scheme or outside the scheme … I know a coach shouldn’t be saying this, but he’s got to take a shot when he has the opportunity,” Moss said at the time. He’s just now got to have that (mentality of), ‘If I take a shot, if it happens, I’m a hero. If it doesn’t, yeah, the coach will probably say something, but what the hell … I’m trying to make a play.’”

His goal is to be an every-down player this season, but with the coaches having moved Brandon Chillar outside last week and currently using Desmond Bishop inside along with Barnett in the No. 1 nickel package, he has his work cut out for him changing the coaches’ minds.

only one with 'no logic" is the piss yellow and green homer posting 'claiming" young packer players coming back with another year of experience= good and they will be better and claiming if you don't think that= the logic of your brain non-existant

BUt young bear players like the WR's coming back with another year of experience= they will suck and be bad.

And the funny part is you don't even see how quickly you contradict your own posts!

Uh......you do know it's preseason.......right? You do know there are no defensive schemes used.........right? You do know teams hardly waste their time scouting and gameplanning preseason opponents......right? We hardly blitzed at all, nor did we use most of our normal formations. If you're looking at preseason for how we'll do in regular season you clearly have zero football knowledge at all.

Edit: Oh I see your defense didn't look so hot either against the chargers. I guess that means your defense will blow this season.....according to your logic.

I've contradicted nothing. It's YOU who's attempting to put words in my mouth. You somehow get that I think all bear players suck when I've never insinuated anything remotely close to that. Devin Hester ≠ your whole team, sorry to say. And yes, he does suck.
