It should probably be noted that the Chiefs have beat teams with a combined 3-9 record, though the victory over the Chargers was impressive.
I hope they can contend in the division. I think the Chargers have leveled off a bit compared to recent years, and the Broncos look capable of competing for the division.
The Colts should easily destroy the Chiefs though.

AFCW is garbage. Even the Lions would be "capable of competing" for that division.

Oh I agree. I just meant that I don't think the Chargers are the obvious choice to win the division this year. If the Chiefs have a chance to win their division, than it is a terrible division.
NFC West is probably even worse.

True, NFCW is worse, but both are bottom feeders...close call.
Although ill give credit for the Chiefs for improving, they arent as abysmal as they have been recently, but they are still a long ways off from being serious contenders...though i wouldnt be surprised if they won their division, or ended up in a 3 way tie at 8-8 for that matter.

The Chiefs have about the easiest schedule I've ever seen. For one, they play their own terrible division rivals twice each. And they luck out by getting to play the lowly NFC West. And on top of that, they don't have to play a number of the better AFC teams (Steelers, Jets, Ravens, Patriots).
They should definitely lose to the Colts and Texans, but after that, there's not a team on their schedule they don't have a legit shot at beating.
