    ProFootballTalk.com reports: The Panthers already were likely to be missing star receiver Steve Smith (high ankle sprain) against the Bears this Sunday. Now WFNZ radio in Charlotte reports that receiver Dwayne Jarrett has been arrested for driving while impaired.

    Jarrett, who in June 2008 pleaded guilty to driving while impaired, could be looking at a suspension under the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

    A fourth-year veteran with three career starts, Jarrett has two receptions this season for 40 yards.
