More bad news for Vikings
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 12, 2010 10:40 AM ET
At 1-3, the Vikings have to prepare on a short week for their "Do or Die Bowl" with the similarly disappointing Cowboys. It sounds like Minnesota will have to face Dallas without one of their key defenders.
Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports cornerback Cedric Griffin will get an MRI on his right knee on Tuesday. Zulgad says it sounds like the news may not be good.
Griffin, a second-year player that had a great start to his career, tore his ACL in his left knee in the playoffs last year. Griffin was helped off the field in the fourth quarter Monday night. Losing him would be a big blow. Rookie cornerback Chris Cook is also recovering from a knee surgery.

its a big loss for them cause long term no consistency in the secondary. But as long as that pass rush plays the way it did yesterday wont really matter for this season

That really sucks for Griffin. You could tell that he knew it was bad the moment he went down.

Yeah poor guy. As he removed his helmet you definitely could tell. Hope it's not as bad as feared.

Karma's a bitch purple people sucka's...this is karma's way of telling Minni they should have just let the Williams be suspended, and let Farve stayed retired instead of bending over for him one more time.

Or is it just that injuries are a part of the game. They aren't playing tiddly-winks out there.
