Yeah, it's Deadspin that made this deal. They got their hands on the info second-hand and ran with it in order to -as they say- avoid being beaten to the punch. They tried to get her to corroborate, but she's dragging her feet. That by itself is a head-scratcher; do you want to hang him or just get some publicity out of it? The NFL has the horsepower to bring pretty much anything (that's not tied up in legal proceedings) to the front quickly. And they've been pretty quiet lately.

Agree. What I read of this and how it happened, Stegger did not want it to come public. Her contact at dead spin basically thrust this into the spot light, not her.
