I was actually happy to see him get a shot cause he did look really really good in pre-season... but whatever. if you all wanna get your jolly's off bashing the guy be my guest.... you just look really really stupid doing it.

Yes Rex looked good in pre season; I bet he looked good in practice....that's his MO; problem is he pees his pants like a lil' girl when he gets on the field and people are trying to atually hit him. Get over your lil' man crush and the dragon and see him for what he is; a shitty qb. Just saw the replay, even rewound it and watched it again; no 90% of qb's don't fumble that ball, but regardless the fact is HE did, and then did nothing w/it after that either. Seems like all he's letting loose now is his bowls on the nfl playing field.

I will admit I was wrong about him though.......he's not even a decent backup....

Another strange move by HC's this weekend.

I heard today that Shanny was claiming McNabb doesn't have the cardiovascular endurance to run the 2 minute. I also heard that Shanny has not been pleased with McNabb since training camp.

Saw the hit on Grossman. He had no time to throw, but Rex still hasn't learned to protect the ball in the pocket. I feel sorry for Rex. No one in the press will give this guy a break or objectively report on him.

Sounds like something Lovie would say.

Grossman should have tucked that ball in when it became apparent that he was going to take a sack. Instead, he did something that he was totally guilty of time and time again when he played for the Bears: he committed an avoidable turnover. Now, I'm sure that I'm going to catch flack for this because I dare to say something about King Rex, but he was a terrible player who was an interception and fumble machine in his time with the Bears, and I get really tired of people doing whatever it takes to justify his "abilities", or whatever the hell they may be, to me. He was good in college, but that does NOT translate necessarily over to a stellar pro career. Grossman is probably an adequate back-up QB at best, and even that is a bit of a stretch. When a quarterback can't even convert a snapped ball during the exchange, I have a real problem with him being my QB. I have said numerous times that the Bears should have signed Jeff Garcia in '06 to take over the team after the debacle against the Dolphins, but hey, that would have chapped a few asses too much, particularly Lovie and Jerry Angelo, as well as a few fans on this site, some of whom are writing stupid, childish remarks back and forth with people trying to argue in favor of Grossman.
