Boy I would love/hate the Vikes to come to SA. Hate that it was the Vikings, but Love to see a pro football team here...if you can call the Vikings pro football.
Luckily/unluckily the 2nd largest tv market, where about 15% of that market actually likes/cares about profootball, LA, will get them; if they move.

Los Angeles takes a lot of shots around here about their "supposed" lack of interest in professional football. So, I would LOVE to see you back that stat up.
The floor is yours.

Exactly how many times have the Raiders gone there and left b/c it failed.....floor is yours to rebuttle.

No, no, no... I seem to have misspoken. I asked you to back up the above number. That "15%" claim.

What you have done instead is use anecdotal evidence to demonstrate a point. I am not trying to be an ass here either. If you've got some survey or other evidence that "15%" of Los Angelenos care/like football, again, I would LOVE to see it. Thanks.

nope, just proof that the 2nd largest market doesn't give 2 shits about the NFL is the fact that they lost an NFL team twice....I thought I was being generous by saying 15; you think it's higher; maybe 30-50%? There is no reason to give them a 3rd team; or even a reason for LA to get a look....but the NFL will; and in about 10-15 years that team will move again; like it always has b/c LA doesn't give 2 shits about the NFL; they got the Lakers and USC and the Dodgers, and that's all they ever will give any real attention too.

even then they show up late and leave early to avoid traffic (not sure about USC - which is by far the biggest "franchise" of them)

There were real scientists back on the day that would've died for their belief in the earth being flat. Eventually, they were proven wrong because their data was dated. Much like yours.
Do you realize that you are using data to support your argument that is 16 years old? Where else is that a rational and logical way to debate a subject??
Besides, I did the math on your useless percentage that you made up... 15% * 12,000,000 (LA Metro population) = 1,800,000 people. 70,000 (average capacity for an NFL stadium rounded up) * 10 (added in two preseaon/postseason games) = 700,000 people. According to your goofy numbers LA would still have over 1,100,000 people on the outside looking in if there were an NFL team in LA.
Face it, you have no proof of anything. You haven't done the research necessary to demonstrate that LA can't support an NFL team. Besides, an NFL stadium is a billion dollar investment. Do you really believe that Ed Roski would be willing to build a stadium if he thought that the NFL had no chance to survive in LA? Seriously, I am confident that Roski probably has several people on his payroll with several degrees from prestigious universities that have done the analysis that convinces Roski that an NFL team in LA WILL make him money. And really, you and I... we're two posters on a message board.
One reason that LA WILL get another team is that they've already been skipped over twice. Think about it... The Raiders and Rams left in 1995, right? Cleveland got a new Browns team in 1999 and Houston got the Texans in 2002. The real reason, however, is what you stated in your first sentence....

We are the second largest market in the country. Owners are salivating to get their grubby hands on my money.
I'm pretty sure that Roski knows what he is doing as this isn't his first rodeo and times have changed in 16 years also. Besides, Los Angeles supports two MLB teams, two NBA teams, two NHL teams, USC football, UCLA basketball easily.

That is certainly possible. I'm hopeful that the Vikings stay put, frankly. The NFC North without that Minnesota Vikings just isn't the same.
