Stats lie, and we know it. there's no stat for under hand throws while be tackled to convert 3 and 9...
there's not stat for threading tight throws into double coverage where only HIS reciever can get it.
everyone want's the Bears Organization and players to get respect, but at the same time lack the ability to reciprocate.

The media has done him in at times yet he is also responsible for the attention he creates around him. So many times he could have came out and said he was returning another year yet he played the I may retire, or I may play next year. His cry fest a few years ago about retiring and then wanting to come back was classless. The Packers organization treated him real well yet he wanted more attention. He is a great qb and he is an awful qb at times. He kept both teams in the game. I also felt he is very selfish for playing while injured. There were times he should have been benched for his bad play or an injury yet he had to keep his streak alive. Personal stats seemed to be more important to him than winning games. JMO. The thing about the sexting thing is lame and I don't care about that. I find it harmless yet stupid but the media is blowing it up way out of proportion. As for ending his career if he really wants to play than come to training camp like the other guys do, don't sit out it and then show up as the starting qb.

Love him or Hate him Brett Favre was not just good, he was great. he stayed true to himself, and his gunslinger mentality. the media, and John Madden have done a bang up job of leaving fans with a bad taste in their mouth at the mere mention of his name...
but as a Fan I feel we owe it to the guy to remember him for his play... not the off field BS the media rams down our throats.
everyone is entitled to remember guys the way they want it's a free country.
But I personally get a little irked at people who let the media, and haters lead them around by the nose. if it's truly your oppinion, so be it. . . but I honestly believe most people just say they hate him cause that's what everyone else says, and nobody want's the shit storm of crap that comes with standing on your own away from the crowd.
I don't hate him because it's the popular thing to do or because of the media. I hate him because he went from being one of my favorite players ever to diva media attention whore douchebag in a matter of a few seasons. He may have been trying to stick it to TT, but at the same time he basically spit in the faces of every Packer fan on Earth and then proceeded to rub it in after that. I appreciate what he did for our organization, but everything else has left a nasty taste in my mouth.
You can't honestly expect me to believe that if Urlacher today pulled the same crap Favre did and ended up with the Packers you wouldn't hate his guts too.

There's also no stat for threading tight throws into octuple coverage and getting picked off for a touchdown to kill a playoff game. Or laying down for a sack to give Strahan the record. Or for the amount of times retired and unretired. Or for times he's thrown the ball and had it incomplete or intercepted when he could have easily run for a first down.

There will always be trends and bandwagons like that-announcers create that by the constant jock-riding. I don't have a problem w/Favre based on his performance or years served-that is a huge accomplishment. The problem arises with a player that can't or won't let go which is reinforced with both the drama queen and the announcers. They should be more worried about how the man will fare when he is gone from football than the next "one last run".
I wonder how many Vikes fans want him benched b/c of poor play than see him play because of his false sense of invincibility and overt chases for records.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Imagine if everyone judged your life's work so harshly.

lol 4th, you always have a strong opinion about Butt Fart, don't you? I personally don't like him either. He's always been a drama queen, but Packer fans are indignant as well by blaming him for leaving the franchise when the franchise pushed him away. Granted, the franchise did the right thing by sweeping Favre out the door because of his age and because they wanted to give Aaron Rodgers a chance to develop into the franchise's quarterback, but Favre ultimately caused himself to be rear-ended here because he kept playing the retirement trump card.

Well I think Favre and Gordie Howe own the stat for retiring and unretiring. lol

Let me judge myself for you. After all I know my life best.
I haven't been perfect by any means. I was quite the careless individual in my youth and have made many mistakes. However those days are history and I have learned from my mistakes and have not repeated them. No I'm not some criminal and never have been. My life continues to get better from personal experiences and by learning from mistakes and by others mistakes, that's the best way to learn lol. I have become quite the respectable, helpfull and honest person. Yes many times people take advantge of this but I tend to avoid such selfish individuals.
A couple years ago I was at the local smokehouse picking up some processed venison. The bill was $103. I gave the gal two $50s and a $5. She put the $$$ under the drawer. I didn't think twice about it untill she proceded to give me a couple $20s ect. Then it dawned on me she had thought I gave her 3-$50s. I told her this is too much change. She checked what she put under the drawer and sure enough 2-$50s and a $5. She was embarassed but all ended up good.
Not long ago I ordered an alternator for my truck. It was $126. Had to wait 3 days to pick it up and pay for it. I called the store a few times the day it was supposed to be there wanting to get it in my truck ASAP. When it finally came in I went to get it and the guy put it on the counter and said there you go sorry for the delay and walked away. I said wait a minute I need to pay for this, and did.
Last year I went to a local club for lunch. Wrote a $20 check and put it in my wallet to cover food there. When I got to the club the kitchen was closed for remodeling. Then I though ship I need to cash this to have money to get lunch somewhere else now. So I gave it to the bartender and he brought back $200 and handed it to me. I stood there for a second counting the money thinking what is all this for? Then it dawned on me he really f'd up. I yelled to him "hey this is too much" he said you cashed a check for $200, I said no it was for $20. He went to the register looked at the check again and said oh ship your right, I could have swore it was for $200. I left with my $20 and all was good once again.
On 11-29-09 me and a friend were on our way to hunt pheasants. We stopped at a truck stop for breakfast. The bill came to $15.36, when I went to pay for it I gave the gal a $20. She gave me back $14.36, I said wait this is too much she looked puzzled as I was handing her back the $10 and the .36, I then told her she just owes me .64 now since I still had the 4 singles. Then she recalculated it and realized she goofed and thanked me for being honest.
I just hope someone is just as honest when it's my turn to make a mistake.
I have been called a fool ect for doing such things, but when you think about it this IS the right thing to do. I'm sure some here will be along shortly to condem/ridicule me but oh well that's the way most people are.
No I'n not a super star and never will be, don't want to be either. Just one person trying to make this screwed up world a bit better any way I can and setting a good example is the best way I can think of to do it.
Cheers Griz.
