    Vikings' Favre upgraded to questionable

MINNEAPOLIS -- So maybe Brett Favre isn't quite done yet.

The Minnesota Vikings said Favre has been upgraded to questionable for Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears.

Spokesman Bob Hagan says the team will watch Favre throw about two hours before kickoff and decide whether Favre can suit up for the outdoors game at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium.

Favre didn't practice all week because of a sprained throwing shoulder. He was listed as "out" on Saturday's injury report.

"Brett Favre attempted to throw the football two days ago and was unable to, due to pain in the SC joint and residual numbness from a brachial plexus injury," Vikings head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman said in a statement. "He declared himself out at that time. He woke up this morning feeling much improved. His symptoms and function have improved dramatically over the past 24 hours. In fairness to him and his team, he would like to be given the opportunity to play tonight if physically able."

The injury kept Favre out of last week's loss to the New York Giants and ended his NFL-record 297 straight regular-season starts.

Rookie Joe Webb is slated to start against the Bears, who can wrap up the NFC North title with a win.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

An injured Favre or a rookie QB with practically no experience. It doesn't seem to make much of a difference. The real difference in this game will come from a strong pass rush by the Bears front four, or the lack thereof. We also need an effective running game this week since the weather may frustrate Cutler and the Martz style passing game.

How does Frazier not say thanks for everything but we have to look towards the future now?

    He should call Shanahan LOL!!

I hope Favre plays so we can send him on his way out.

For one, Fraziers future might not be with the Vikings, and two, Webbs future is not as an NFL QB.

And it turns out that PETERSON is out! That just hosed me in the non-superfans league. Unless the Bears D scores 2 TDs, I can kiss first place goodby!

Then the Bears defense will score two touchdowns! I'm really nervous about tonight's game. Oy vey!
