Jim Wyatt and John Glennon of the Tennessean report Randy Moss scoffed at speculation he called a Nashville radio station last week and criticized Coach Jeff Fisher on the air.
A caller going by "Woody" phoned the 3-Hour Lunch on 104.5–FM, and many listeners assumed it was Moss because of his accent. The interview gained national attention.
"That is not me, that is not my M.O.,'' Moss said Wednesday. "I would never do an individual like that. … I conduct myself and carry myself as a man, so if there is something I need to say to you, I'll say it to your face. I wouldn't go through no radios and try and hide and stuff like that.''
The veteran receiver said Titans strength and conditioning coach Steve Watterson brought the interview to his attention. Moss said he hadn't heard the interview, but he spoke to Fisher about it.
"I just wanted Coach Fisher to know that's not me and that's not how I was raised and I don't do things like that," Moss said. "He thanked me and was appreciative and we left it at that.''
