BTW it was pickett not raji and if look at the 26 second mark it does seem more a COMBO of picket's helmet and mathews shoulder that cause it, even though gave it all credit to mathews

Come on Loki, Mendenhall tore your boys up and you know it. Down 21-3 at halftime and needing to abandon the run to catch up took him out of the game and not Matthews ability to stop him. Had the Steelers not stepped on their dicks so many times and the game remained close throughout Mendenhall could have easily put up 150 yds plus by the way he started. The Packers didn't stop the run
the Steelers just stopped running it in order to get back in the game. Which they did on the channel is was watching! LOL

Seems to have worked well enough in the SB, remember? YOU stated they were effective in running at him... yet the Packers won. So, either the Steelers were not THAT effective, it was an insignificant part of the overall strategy, or the Packer coaching staff feels comfortable with how him and the remainder of the defense interact with each other.

Yes, your absolutely correct. Teams will go more and more and more and more and more at him, and he'll always be the exact same player he was when his "non run playing" self hoisted the trophy. There's like ZERO CHANCE he'll do anything to improve, practice, etc...

Uh no, the steelers falling behind and making mistakes and putting themselves in a deep hole stopped it, they WERE effective running at him, but had to abandon it when fell behind, packers winning the game doesn't change that mathews wasn't good against the rush in the game, sorry.. that's like saying a a RB fumbles 4 times in a SB and has 2 yards for game, but he is effective because his team won.. One has zip to do with the other- jsut because your team won, players can still have bad plays, a bad game or even a bad strategy

Yes... down 21-3 at the half is indicitive of a highly successful run game.

LOL... yes, bad strategy is one of the main problems with NFL Championship teams.

If it was as successful as you're touting then they would have never had to abandon the run because, hey, if he sucks so much in run defense the Steelers should have been able to run the ball and score via the run easily. Wait, what? You mean it doesn't work that way? You mean there are 10 other guys on the field other than Matthews? Amazing!

You'll notice that they often like to tout the "team" effort when it comes to the Bears defense, but singular players when it comes to opponents.

This is the typical spin you get in these debates, it is the nitpicking of certain plays that defines a player. Next they will tell you that the steelers had to abandon the run because they were down too many points when in fact putting the ball in the hands of the guy that put you in that deep hole is probably not the best thing to do.

Urlacher has problems tackling quarterbacks in the flat. I have seen Tom Brady burn him before.
