I am enjoying it, and I fully expect us to be back there next season. We're getting all the important players back and likely will be adding a few as well that will have an impact next season.

If the Cutler thing is a dead issue, why is the thread still being bumped on the main page (which was started on Monday, might I add)? Rodgers was out with a concussion, the difference being no one needed to come out and defend his toughness because we knew he was injured. With Cutler, a good chunk of your fan base even came out and called it BS. No one did that with Rodgers. You're comparing apples to oranges in this instance.
    1) It's nice to know that you understand the reason they keep score, LOL.

    2) If Pitt didn't outplay you (despite screwups) why did they lead in the stats (something you guys always seem to love quoting) and why oh why did they control the ball 10 more minutes than the Packers. TOP usually indicates some degree of superiority to most of us.

    3) So Packer injuries were the only reason they came back huh? Couldn't have anything to do with that advantage in the TOP or that Steelers stopped giving the ball away which led to most of the points that the Packers scored.

You tear me up Evernight. You're just same excuse making machine that most Packer fans I lived around usually were. It's always something that's an excuse even though this time you didn't even need one yet you and the rest of your ilk are seemingly conditioned to provide one. You won cheesehead, no excuse needed, LOL.

Why Cutler thread bumped? Have no idea not my thread. Horse was beaten to death weeks ago and beyond care or resurrection by me. Many Bears fans are whiners as opposed to many Packer fans who are just too busy riding snowmobiles and drinking beer to be concerned about anything else other then what the Wisconsin media tells them they should believe. Rodgers had a concussion and Cutler had a sprained knee ligament. Rodgers couldn't focus his thoughts and Cutler had no mobility or ability to plant and throw. Both seem like injuries to me but just in case I'll consult my GB Packer fan daughter who's an RN. Bet even she agrees that both consitute injuries which might inhibit play.

Not comparing apples to oranges just comparing one injury to another simple as that. But anyway you guys bring your apples and we'll bring our oranges later this fall and we'll see who goes home with their bushel basket full.

    Mmmkay...

    1) From reading the previous posts, apparently it was unknown to you.

    2) Higher TOP doesn't = outplaying. Last I checked you can get the ball and score in one or two plays, thus having a minimal amount of TOP making it a pretty horrible stat to judge the "superior" team. They fell short in the only important stat: points. They also lead in the one stat you don't want to lead in as well: turnovers.

    3) Injuries were the primary reason Pitt was back in the game, yes. Woodson, Collins, Shields and a few others going out of the game changed the way we played entirely. We instantly were less aggressive, it was like watching a completely different game without those guys in the lineup.

    4) There were no excuses made, only facts which you could have seen for yourself had you actually watched the game.

    5) I said nothing of the severity of the injuries, only the player's fan reactions to them.

    6) Unless something royally f*cked up happens, I can easily see both the Packers and Bears meeting in the playoffs again next season.

Here's the only stat that matters.

    Super Bowl victories in 2011:
    Green Bay: 1
    Pittsuburgh: 0

OK, I get it now. Don't confuse me with the facts my minds made up. You remind me of my ex-wife, LOL. I guess that's as good a way to win every disageement as any. The only fact that we truly agree on is that the score was 31-25 Packers. Satisfied.

Shit, now we have to consider signing Asomugha in free agency. I was hoping that we could settle with drafting a CB in the first three rounds to play in our Tampa Two system alongside Peanut, but NO, we're in an all-out, U.S./Soviet arms race with the Green Bay Packers. This is where I say that we have to treat Ginny McCaskey like she is our rich great-grandmother and beg her to sign Asomugha in order to keep him out of Green Bay.

I realize that, soul. But what I'm saying is that if these rumors were true, we might actually have to consider putting all our eggs in one basket in order to keep Asomugha out of Green Bay. It's similar to what the Yankees usually do when they think the Red Sox are going to sign a big name free agent - we jack the price for signing him up so high that even the Red Sox won't be able to sign him to a contract. While there is a "loose" salary cap in Major League Baseball, I wonder if anything of that kind ever happens in the NFL?

Nope, just a "hard cap" that can't be exceeded without severe penalties like losses of draft choices not a "luxury tax" that wealthy MLB teams can well afford to pay. Ask the Broncos owner Pat Bowlen. They got their "tit caught in a ringer" over that some years back.

Besides it's only a rumor about his going to GB anyway. They have to deal with the same cap limitations as anyone else. How do you or anyone else that's debating it even know if they have gas enough to do it? There will be quite a few teams interested in him and I'm not going to fuel any of my fears by thinking about it anyway.

I really think there should be something in between what the NFL has and MLB. Just so that the major market teams can spend a little more freely but not being able to crush smaller teams. Besides, I could see Dallas or Washington, with no cap, over the long haul overspending on players that are just mediocre, really ruining their teams.
