We're Black and Blue All Over:
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Green Bay Packers' decision not to use their franchise tag suggests that free-agent defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins will be moving on to another team this offseason, an idea Jenkins himself endorsed in an interview with Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Jenkins: "I'm 99% sure something won't happen. Not at this point. You get to a point where you want to go where you feel you're wanted. The way everything came down, it's just time for a new start."
As we've discussed before, the cost of franchising Jenkins would have been substantial; Silverstein projects the franchise tag at $12 million for defensive ends. The Packers have two young players, Mike Neal and C.J. Wilson, who can play Jenkins' position. In addition, veteran Johnny Jolly has applied for reinstatement after serving a one-year NFL suspension.

No loss if he goes. An oft injured DE on the wrong side of 30 looking for a big pay day while not deserving one.

Son of a Beach and here I was hoping you guys would have an entire team of over 30, over weight, oft injured, undeserving asshats this year not just one.

Except Jolly was actually good, by far our best run stopping dl. Getting him back will be huge.

How exactly was that a koolaid response from me?
Fact: Jenkins was injured a good portion of this season as well as previous seasons
Fact: Jenkins play ability doesn't merit the $12 million he would get from the franchise tag. The only reason he was whining about it is because he knows there's no one that will give him that kind of money
Fact: Many players begin to rapidly decline after the age of 30
Fact: Jolly played very well for us before being suspended
Fact: Getting Jolly back provides depth we would lose if Jenkins is released
Fact: You're once again grasping at straws
There's 100% less koolaid in that post than there is in the happy rainbow flower news articles you spew on this site on a daily basis.
The end.

So jenkins 7 sacks in 11 games= not a good player.. oh ok.. good to know..can see how jolly's 2 total career sacks in 3 years makes up for it.. and no worries
the end.

I never said he wasn't a good player, I said he wasn't worth the 12 million he wants. Stop twisting words as per your usual modus operandi.

so the packers have to offer him $12 mill? hmm interesting because i'm 100% sure they do not, and could offer him let's say 30 mill for 5 years or 6 mill/yr.. he isn't asking for $12 mill, just a new contract,, just you are saying $12 mill
and when said No loss if he goes. that is saying he isn't a good player, because good players are a loss if they go-Stop twisting words as per your usual modus operandi.
