Journeyman just describes his level of skill Jimmors. He's good but not great. Not an all-pro which in some trades would be called a master. A guy who goes from team to team would be called an intinerant.

hmm..i always thought "journeyman" was used to describe a player that is mediocre but bounces from team to team to team...a la todd collins.

Well a lot of "journeyman" level players do move around from team to team once they become FA's but then there are guys like Garza who I think would be considered a"journeyman" level OG. Capable but not outstanding.

The term is used in boxing and mma also where there aren't any teams. In that case it usually just describes a middle of the road athlete. One that the contenders have to beat in order to get to the top,

What we all have to remember, gentlemen, is that Gallery has been injured for parts of the past two seasons. In 2009, he only played in eight games. In 2010, he missed four contests. Gallery was a very solid OG in his day, but I think we're starting to see him go into decline with the evidence of his past two injury-plagued seasons. He's not worth $8 million, no matter what kind of an upgrade he would be.
Give me Davin Joseph and Tyson Clabo in free agency, and I will show you an offensive line that is built to kick some major ass next season.

Seattle is rumored to be interested in him but not at anywhere near his $8 mil asking price to the Raiders. Tom Cable, his former HC, is now Seattles Oline coach.

I'm afraid that Gallery is going to find it difficult to find work requesting that kind of dough.
